Think we will fail to get anyone "over the line"
-
A friend of mine hates Ashley and co but is renewing stating "I will still be around when he has gone" but whinges on about this that and the other and my argument is watch the match in the toon with the lads and you still get your fix ,his attitude is a contributing factor why we will not force change and that pisses me off.

move your head towards a opponent its a straight red even with oscar winning performance theatricals tbh

Utter tosh ,we could have said to PSG "here you can have him at the end of the season on a pre contract agreement but he stays with us till then" .Yes he can buy himself out at the end of the season but that will put an end to that ,whilw we are on if Mata is worth 39 million i think we have sold him on the cheap in todays over inflated market .

exactly as the directors came out and said it last year at the forum ,Cashley is just happy to survive mid table and sell at a profit so Krul and another next and he sees it as a job well done while we get more and more resentful of him
-
Cashley will be happy but imho he will tell us to back off if we get anywhere near a Europa place sadly

Agreed. He has no technique, no vision, no skills. He is just a big lump who is strong and a bit physical. Its only throw-backs like Dalglish and Allardyce that have kept someone like Carroll a PL player. He had a purple patch for us for a brief spell but he still looked a bang average footballer and in time I reckon he'd have become just another Shola type for us, but without the professionalism and right attitude. well - you basically just described Mike W there (except the part about being professional) Well i think people are way to harsh on Carroll. He was a local lad living his boyhood dream - only for a short time before he was being asked to leave. Going to liverpool on those wages isn´t the worst - but then being dropped and then forced to WH. Well he probably never asked for any of this. I hope he will recover some form. He isn´t really my kind of player but if he could return to former strength then i would be happy to have here as a option (1 out of 4 hopefully) Carroll on form is 1000% better than that lazy donkey - shola! Getting shit loads of abuse and tbh from people who i thought would be a lot more understanding ,he certainly looks the part from his England appearances and "all thats wrong with English football " have a word with ya self as there are a hell of a lot worse characters plying there trade out there ,he never set that fee and the way he was treated at Liverpool was nothing short of disgraceful and many would agree on this board .

He's not like, and I don't exactly rate Williamson. Taylor is a moderately better "footballer" but a horrible defender; aside from being full-blooded he's worse than Williamson in virtually every single aspect of defending. Completely disagree. Taylor's better physically, in the air and in the tackle. He's braver too. Apologies for the late response but I'm just not seeing the same things you are like. There's a difference between being brave and being gung-ho or even borderline-reckless defensively; Taylor is typically far more prone to possessing the latter two qualities than "bravery" - Williamson doesn't hammer into hollywood-challenges as often but by the same token doesn't make half as many errors as a result of doing so... I don't have statistics (and regardless, they'd be massively skewed depending on who they're lining up against anyway) but I'd wager that Williamson wins more of his aerial battles (defensively) than Taylor does as well... As for physicality, Taylor is stronger but that's pretty irrelevant when he doesn't apply his physicality effectively. All of that, of course, is pre-amble to the kicker which is that we never look remotely solid as a unit with Taylor at the back. Williamson is able to form effective partnerships with other defenders and that's something Taylor has rarely been able to do over the course of his career. I made a comment during the second half about Forrest Gump running with the ball and losing it turning attack into a near miss from West Ham due to Forrest Gump being stupid

I hope we do. If we lose he might play Ben Arfa next game. Results don't really matter for the rest of the season and I want excitement which only Ben Arfa can bring you for real wanting your team to lose to get a player in the team Look at my next post after that mate i did but there was no sign of a joke in your original post just backtracked after the stick you received after it It was obviously a joke,I thought people would understand that. I an very pissed off about the continued poor treatment of HBA though i am too and sadly will be gone in the summer imho
