    Bramble or Gooch

    Bit over the top. 6ft
  2. I think this is aimed at the mainland europe leagues, in the main their prime domestic cup ranks way lower than the carling cup here....I think there have been some strange winners of the German one in the past.

    England

says more about the lack of choice tbh....he's the best left winger we've got.

Unfortunately we probably will, with Lampard and Gerard both playing and scoring a couple each and this will vindicate (for the papers and pundits - Hanson) why they should both play in the same side.
  5. Go more in hope than expectation, but still really look forward to the match all the same (and the pre-match drinks of course)
  6. Robinson/Foster G.Nevillie J.Woodgate R.Ferdinand/Terry A.Cole A.Lennon O.Hargreaves/M.Carrick S.Gerard J.Cole M.Owen W.Rooney tactics...attack, attack, attack subs, A.Johnson, G.Barry and my three undecided.

    Amsterdam Tourno

thought he was going to take the team hiking in Norway or something instead, besides isn't the Amsterdam tournament abit above our grade, it's usually a top-class field?

Do we only have 2 left backs in the country? Now I do rate Carragher but not as an international left back, but thats not his fault its that safety first managers fault for playing him out of position. Why did we slow everything down when we had the ball, Lennon (another one in the wrong position), caused them problems when he was able to run at them. A blind man could have seen that humping high looping balls in for Rooney (relatively poor game) and Johnson (did ok considering what he had to feed off) wasn't gonna work, Ben Taim must have though it was xmas. I'm no great fan of Downing but we should have taken off a midfielder (Stevie knows which one) and gone for pace on both wings earlier in the game.
  9. Taken from the EUFA website. For the euro u21's they won their group beating both Austria & Iceland 1-0 (one at home, one away), and the play-off, drew 0-0 at home and won 2-1 away in Spain.......looks canny value those odds. Aye, but wor 21's have had some great results too. Beating the krauts away etc... It sounds like this game isn't worth investing too much in. I might have a patriotic fighting 5a on them. true, and while i'm sure it'll be fairly compeditive it's still just a friendly at the end of the day.

Scotland is famed for great managers, much better than ours and were far more deserving of a voting slot than Welsh or fuckin Northern Irish. Northern Irish pmsl. Like who Willie Mc, Jim Magilton or Sammy McIlroy who's greatest achievement was getting League status for Macclesfield??!? I actually can't think of anymore Ulster managers at this hour. Is Martin O'Neill north or south? I class him as South as a Republican and a catholic from Derry. South it is then hehe I don't really, I was just trying to hide the fact that I completely forgot about him. We're all human. blame it on the drink (again)

I suppose it depends how you read it, I took the gist of it to read that the club is in danger of a fair number of regular season ticket renewers not doing so next season which is nothing that hasn't been said on here before. Some folk are taking a giant jump and taking it as an insult to non-going fans/kids/forum users, I don't. I would have thought that saying "not to be confused with harassed parents and numpty tosspots queuing for the new home shirt" was meant as an insult, I wouldn't say it as anything other than an insult. It comes down to how you want to read it I suppose Mick, I take the numpty toss-pots that they are refering to to be the ones who are always 'interviewed' on SSN etc, the one's with their white kappa tracksuit bottoms, black soccer world boots and fake designer hat. It seems like some folk have a problem with the lads who run the site and have seized on this to jump on them, shame really as the gist of the whole post has some relevance.
  15. What we (all) need is one of the top 4 to have a bit of a mare. Man U and Arsenal look to be in good shape for the foreseeable future so it comes down to Chelsea and Liverpool. Both could have managerial headaches coming up, Liverpool with Real Madrid being in the need of a manager this coming season and the Roman/Jose will they/won't they kiss and make up. Losing an influencial manager could cause hiccups in the league. Also, I get the feeling that the worst thing that could happen to Chelsea is for them to win the champions league this year, I get an impression that Roman's not as in-love with football (at least at Chelsea anyway) as he used to be.
  16. Don't really mind the badge central, but the adidas logo above it should be shifted though.

  18. If you do no.1, then no.2 I have a nasty hunch we'd be very worried about no.3......
  19. Shows up our lack of a real attacking / playmaking midfielder unfortunately.
  20. didn't think they'd lose though but just as well I did the cover bet all the same.
  21. Us, Everton, Sunderland, Forest, Hartlepool and Celtic.....£5 accumulator. a £2 Philias Fog accumulator for a giggle Werder Bremen, Werder Bremen double to cover.
