Exept you would have one centre midfielder in the side, which is suicide. It's either 442 with wingers such as SWP, or it's 433 with 3 centre mids and 3 strikers/wingers that can score. You can't play 433 with 2 wingers playing in centre midfield, well you can, it's just crap.

I had to look up on google to see it Newcastle had a Cathedral before laughing at that!
-
Martins needs to improve his overall awareness BUT i always feel like we are more likely to score when he is in the side.

Should be the first player through the door TBH. Wouldn't cost alot Plenty of experiance Partnership with Faye Captain Fooking good too There was a rumour going around about a month or so ago that he might off to the Al Jazeera to replace Senderos but don't know if there was any truth in it. Would be a class signing for them like. Who you's lot going to replace King with, can't imagine Ramos putting his faith in him next year?

Keegan and SBR were successes. Gullit and Roeder and Allardyce took us side ways Souness and Dalglish took us backwards. Souness was given 50m, therefore he loses.
-
Here's a thought. I wonder if KK uses any of his soccer circus techniques with the lads. It couldn't harm them for fitness and close ball control. Remember Keegan said he came across the idea in a training ground in New Zealand years ago. Better than that Robot shite Allardyce has going on.

If we said to Man Utd "we will give you 15m for either Carrick or Hargreaves" i reckon they would take it like. Just think it would be tempting for fergy to out and sign someone more exciting with that money. Mind you Man Utd have no reason to sell, hardly as if they are short of a few bob.

Whoever voted for KK wants shot.

Sounds like a transfer plea. Won't pretend like i have any idea on whether he's any good or not. Sounds like one of the youngsters KK was on about more than anything.
-
I hate people slating shay after a difficult season, bloody shocking. However, Harper has proved he's worthy of our number one slot. Him to start next season.

But they are shit on our shoes. Their in denile.

I think most people would rather have 12 points than 4 tbh. He's really pointing out the difference in attitude between the better sides from the relegation sides. For example, all the sides down in the mix atm would quite happily put a bus in front of their goal and play for the draw. No chance of KK doing this as he more ambitious away from home. Hopefully with some excellent home form we will see our selves up the right end of the table.
-
Earlier on in the season when sunderland were at old traffard they were all signing "cheer up alan shearer". How sad is that, the premiership champions FFS.
-
I went to bed the other night dreaming of champions league football. I'm happy that KK's ambition will match my dreams. Some day maybe......

Agree with all of this. Our biggest asset is at home. Even under Bobby we were notoriously bad away from home (better than we are atm though). We just used to win the majority of our home games, i twas this that propelled us into the right end of the table. We should almost be treating our away games as bonuses and concentrating on beating everyone at SJP.

Funny enough being quite young for the first KK regime i was under the impression that he didn't know how to get his teams defending and was a crap tactician. Two qualities which he has massively impressed me on.
-
Na Everton are the most inconsistant club. Don't they yo yo from every year, from a good season to an average one? It will be hard to improve on what they have, without spending massive money (which they dont have), it means taking risks. They won't finish 5th, neither will Pompey.
-
Absolutely, would be a nice comfortable young squad player to add a bit of depth to the squad. As long as we sign the 4/5 quality players, we can sign as many of the risk takers as we want. If he doesn't "bare fruit", it's very little loss.
-
D'Allesandro is probably the best suggestion so far for an attacking player. Wouldn't cost bucket loads Premiership experianced Nice age Zaragoza are in trouble (i believe)
-
How old is he? McCarthy has always impressed me. I like Santa Cruz but feel we should look elsewhere. 26 according to Wikipedia. So perfect age really. I see him as a perfect alternative to Viduka. Step across though isn't it? He would only go to a bigger club. Not sure, he would probably be impressed by the size of the stadium and the fact we have players like Owen and if we signed a Deco or similar that would probably sway players from Blackburn sized clubs. Aye i think Blackburn will be one of the most least attractive stadia to play in. They barely sell their tickets and often are just as many away fans as home. How many did we take down there? 6000 was it. I think persuading blackburn to sell would be harder than persuading him to come. I always thought he had a questionable fitness but 39 games is amazing. Would be a canny signing.

I disagree. I think he can be afford to be as deep as he wants when Martins and Duke are up top. Normally with two strikers it would be a problem but not in the formation we play. His work rate and ability distribute the ball was still very good. He can be afforded to I agree just sometimes when we were on the break especially in the second half we had the ball in the final third and Owen was nowhere in sight. Just think his priority should be to make sure he supports the attack rather than supplement the midfield. Maybe I'm just nit picking. Absolutely, he needs to make sure that he gets into the box a much as possible but the good thing about Owen is that he can score a range of goals. Therefore if he's not catching up with play, we know that he might nick a header from a corner or pick up on a mistake from a set piece. Is taking the pressure off his goalscoring, which works in his favour as he's a natural anyway.
