He's a liverpool fan.

You can fuck off now

It makes a massive change doesn't it. Now i feel so confident that we can go away from home and put in a good performance, dominating a game and get a win. If Portsmouth struggled to dominate us at their place then these lot will too IMO, their all over the place ATM. If we get in their faces, the natives will get restless and we WILL win.

If he needs a lift, ill drop him off at St James next time i go home Not from Newcastle are you?? We have more dust bins

First time in months that a pre match thread has been made as late as wednesday. Line up: Harper Beye Taylor Faye Enrique Butt Geremi Barton Owen Viduka Martins Fancy us to pile a bit of misery on West Ham, don't think we will lose TBH. We are good confident form and i think they will struggle to stop our front 3 scoring. Prediction 1-2 Owen, Martins, Ashton

Is this the hearing that could potentially send him down or is it some sort of preliminary hearing? Aint until June he gets the verdict/sentence.
-
Love the way we've been linked with Riise since january yet SSN wait until he scores an own goal before linking him with us. Twats.
-
I love the way Butt's third. He was terrible up until KK returned. I remember a few games in a row where he gave the ball away every time he was on the ball. Not suprising that Beye's top.

Man City, in Souness' last game. I'd like to think i had something to do with his sacking, "Souness OUT". That day we got raped by Joey Barton. All our fans were singing "get your axe out for the lads".

Na. not a fan of Kuyt i'm afraid. Don't get me wrong the guy is a good striker, works hard, has a good attitude and is prepared to play out of position. However, i don't see anyway how he could fit into the system we play. Even we played 442 i wouldn't want him playing up front.

What fucking joke that story is...... First of all "as a possible close-season replacement for £6 million Spanish defender Jose Enrique", Jose is going no where mate. Then "With Charles N'Zogbia almost certain to leave for Tottenham this summer", little but more lazy journalism. Followed by "Keegan has also been linked with Wayne Bridge but Riise's attacking instincts could appeal more", since when has Riise had better attacking instincts than Bridge, neither please. No quotes or nowt. Just blatant speculation grrr!

Is that true James about having 7 subs next year? Must have missed that one, it'l be like being in europe again..... how depressing Taking what Wullie said into account i still think Ben Haim is the best option because he can cover at left back for us if Enrique gets injured. After that we can rely on Edgar.
-
Aye i'd have him here but generally don't want Enrique to be forced out of the first 11 which i feel Shorey might do.
-
Aye that's a good shout. Noone else think that Edgars fine as an understudy? I suppose it's risky but i'd be happy with him TBH.
-
It's a tough one. I'd like to see Enrique start next season but i'm not so sure KK will see it that way. Did Ben Haim used to sometimes play left back for Bolton? Or am i think of someone else? If so then i'd sign him and use him as back up left back with Taylor back up centre half. Either that or stick a bid in for Cole or Bridge.

Just posted that link above. Hardly a conclusive no to roeder now is it? Most just wishing him good luck, he was never going to get us anywhere and most point out what an unambitious appointment it was. To sum up what i was saying.... I hated FS as much as anyone but as you can see there was fair chunk (not the majority perhaps), that were happy with his appointment on a full time basis, me included. So i won't let me hatred of Shepard cloud my judgement of an appointment that quite a few fans were happy with. In hinesight of course, those fans who said it was unambitious and the wrong move (including yourself) where correct.

Reading through them, it wasn't as conclusive an opinion as i first thought. However, i'd say looking at the comments there is at least a 50/50 split between the people on this forum. Plenty of arguements for either side and some very respected opinions who wanted to keep him here. Certainly not a case of "It was just so obvious he was going to fail, I don't think anyone thought he could make a success of the club."
-
with hindsight yes, I think there was some justification for giving him a go, it just didn't work out. Lots of clubs take this path or promoting a caretaker who does quite well, Manu, Liverpool, Chelsea have all been there too. Agree, especially taking into account numerous polls on here that said the majority wanted him to stay on.
-
It was just so obvious he was going to fail, I don't think anyone thought he could make a success of the club. Then why did the majority want him to get his chance as permanent manager? Maybe you didn't think he would be a success, but most of us wanted him to get his crack, including me, but maybe that's one for the "owning up" thread.
-
Perfect example of a signing to appease the fans. I honestly don't think he'd be a success here. Not sure how he'd be coming to appease the fans when he's better than anything we've got in the squad by some distance. Because he's been shit for over a year now, and he'd be signed on the back of his name and reputation. There are better players out there currently who would cost less in transfer fees, wages, and wouldn't spend all of their spare time getting pissed up in the local nightclubs. World player of the year 3 years ago and all of a sudden he's too good for us? What if transfer fees and wages were not a problem? Also, it's not as if KK has never dealt with party boys before is it.
-
BTW, i was happy to hear we were going for Woodgate because that sets a decent bar of the standard we want. If we are signing players of his calibre and above i will be delighted.
-
I fucking love the guy. Every now and then we get a foreigner who just comes along and blends right into the city, the people, the culture and the club. Simliar to Tino and Nobby. He loves the fans and we love him. Fucking legend. Vice captain by a mile.
-
Chelsea for me. Don't think i could handle "we won it six times".
