Man City would have to pay 15m to get Owen where as Arsenal etc would have to pay 9/11m. As well as this there is every chance that Owen would not move anywhere unless it was a team in the champions league anyway. The only arguement city have is that he's from the "north west", which is funny because i was sure he was from closer to liverpool than cumbria. He's also stated that his family are very happy in the north east (ponteland). Add on to the fact that Newcastle like Man City have got a new manager and a new chairman, so there is no more attraction on the football side of things. Basically i think Owen is staying put, however if he were to move i think it highly likely it will be to one of the champions league teams and not Man city.

The fact he is being mentioned for both suggests he's not bad. Saying that Baros was top scorer in an international tournament a few year ago, so that means nowt.

It was with a heavy heart i did that. Arsenal would be the obvious choice but until they replace Henry i can see them slipping further. I will review it later on in the window.

I will define "Big Club" for you all. Club-"a group of persons organized for a social, literary, athletic, political, or other purpose." Therfore i believe the size of a club is down to how many people are part of that club, regardless of success or assets. When referring to football clubs, it's the fan base which decides the size of the club. Which is why the two biggest clubs in the world (real and man u) have the biggest fan bases.

Unless a massive offer comes in i doubt he will be going anywhere. I see no reason why Martins would be unhappy at Newcastle or that big sam would want rid of martins. Owen on the other hand.....

Another classic from King Dawson has made me decide to have a poll. Dawson laughed off claims by myself that Taylor, when he hits his peak, will be a better defender than the current Ledley King. Am i the only one with this opinion?

Personally i think Dawson is a decent centre back made look good because of Ledley King. Woodgate made Bramble look competent in some games ffs. When King is out of the spurs team he doesn't look half the player, that doesn't mean to say he is s*** though. On the other hand, i believe Taylor will be better than Ledley King never mind Dawson. He's got alot to learn but out of all the young England centre backs, only that Man City kid looks as promising. As for Huddlestone, he's not done enough to be rated a future star for me. There are truck loads of midfielders in front of him and the senior england midfield.
