The issue seems to have been Bruno, not Longstaff. Howe was sticking with Bruno as a 6 through hell and highwater, despite his lacking in pace on the transition. Tonali in at 8 wasn't really working. Now the balance looks so much better and it's Joelinton who's place is at risk. Against Ipswich, I suspect Bruno might play LCM and Longstaff RCM, rather than Willock coming back in.

Should be the same side. No fucking about. If we absolutely have to make changes, make them vs Ipswich.

So I'm normally Mr positive pants, and while I'm buzzing that we smashed them up, there was still the odd moment where they had me scratching my head.... mainly from being sloppy on the ball, especially in the first half. We also missed a hat full of chances. However 9 goals in 3 games means we've got our goal threat back, which is crucial if we are going to be so open. Tonali being DM will only get better. Bruno being 8 will only get better. A RW who is as devastating as Gordon is on the left and a CB with real pace and physicality on transitions and we are in a good spot.
