  1. Arsenal should be looking to keep the ball and picking Liverpool off.
  2. I'm all for signing young players but we shouldn't forget what impact Tripper made. I just hope the club are on top of all age groups.

You know as well as I do that Isak is a much better player than Martial. In another world, where Martial was injury free and in top form, he'd have been a great striker in this league though. Too little too late from him. Man United will sign someone in the summer. They will be in business then.
  4. This Liverpool side couldn't put a run together if they were sponsored by Bupa.
  5. If we make CL. Test Liverpool with 40m for Andy Robertson. He's 29, will still get 4/5 good years from him. He's on 100k, which we could afford. He might be ready for new challenge. Him and Trippier as fuck backs.

Man United wish they had someone as good as Isak.

Both are fantastic. Neither fee is excessive.
  8. Leeds will be a tough game for us and for anyone for that matter. So energetic and they have a hostile ground.
  9. Easy to forget, looking at his win percentage, that it took him a while to get the team going.
  10. Chelsea are Everton on steroids.
  11. Should certainly be a box that needs ticked.
  12. I also think Arteta is probably completely different away from the touchline. Watched the arsenal documentary and he seemed generally OK.
  13. Arsenal and City are actually two of the sides I have the least dislike for.
  14. In terms of recruitment, we should try and look at things through this lense: "which injury would cost us the most?" Right now Bruno is the player which is irreplaceable. We'd be a different prospect with someone who has anywhere near Brunos quality in the middle. It doesn't matter if DM or AM, just someone with real quality. Palhinha would be my choice. After that, I think it's CB. We lose Schar or Botman and we are down to Burn or worse Lascelles. Therefore a RCB is next in line. 3rd on the list, I think we need to look for a striker/versatile forward. If Isak gets a layoff, we are down to Wilson on his own, with noone on the bench. Look how many points we've gained from having impactful subs. We need a 3rd option.

If you watch closely, he's already shaped his body to shoot before Wilson passes to him. Its like his body language is telling Wilson exactly where he wants the ball and of course Wilson being a striker, knows exactly what he wants.
  16. That Spurs game needs to have full stadium black and white, like Arsenal last year. Hopefully wor Flags have something really special lined up.
  17. Besides which, if we are raiding Brighton... it needs to be Mitoma, Ferguson, Caicedo or MacAllister.
  18. Yeah fair point guys. Just a different angle of attack I thought I'd put forward. I'd like to think the club are exploring various options and ideas.
  19. Was thinking he would cost less than 20m. A young CB of Botmans ilk is going to cost 30+ IMO.
  20. He's 31, we are going to have to rotate our squad massively next year with European football. He'd get loads of games.
  21. Not a rumour but a suggestion of sorts: Lewis Dunk. Hear me out... If we can't get a "top target" for the RCB role. I.e a young player to come in and compete with Schar and eventually take his place, we could do the opposite and sign an experienced player who's been outstanding this season. Dunk is a better CB than Dan Burn, he's experienced, excellent on the ball, another absolute unit, plays in a very similar system and wouldn't cost alot of money. It would be effectively kicking the CB can down the road for a season but it would allow us to keep our powder dry if there are financial constraints. Before anyone goes wild, it's just a different suggestion/strategy to explore.

Yeah that's why I said Wilson should give him. It honestly doesn't matter. Basically I was implying that this guy is our future.

Just to be clear, we've signed a genuine elite striker in the Kane, Aguero, Haaland (well, ok this guys a freak) mould. This guy is going to do big numbers if we can keep him fit for a full season. He'd be on for 30 goals at current ratio and that's only part of his game, he runs channels, holds up the ball. He's nowhere near the finished article either. I suspect he will still improve 10%, which is frightning. If I was Wilson, I'd be tempted to give him the number 9. Wilson will still get plenty of games and goals, as a back up.
  24. In all honesty this is on par our toughest game left. This and Arsenal. I'd snap your hand off for a draw and an advantage over Spurs going into the Spurs game. We need to be better than we have been to get a result against Villa.
  25. On the other hand if our fans want to do their own bed sheet with "Our next messiah..." and a massive picture of Eddie, I think that would be class.
