  1. This is great news for our Top 4 push. Brighton and Leicester back to back "under the lights", it will be in one of these games when we confirm our top 4 status IMO. Fuck dreary lunch time or 3pm kick offs. These are the ones for me. Red hot atmosphere against one side that will hopefully be on the beach and another that in horrific form (currently). 2 home wins. Howay the lads.

That was genuinely an outstanding listen. The best bit is when he said he was away at City for Burnley and Barnes puts Burnley 1 nil up. "They are off celebrating and I'm thinking 'shit we've just woken them up'".
  3. But if you put Bruno and Neves + Longstaff then you do have pace and energy in the middle. Or even Joelinton or Willock. If what is being said, is that we need someone who is not only an absolute baller but also has the engine of Mo Farah/Usain Bolt, we might be disappointed. Can't remember ever thinking Casemiro or Rodri were particularly pacey/energetic players, although I don't know the stats on that. Give me Neves and Bruno and let's see how many teams can get the ball off us, let's dominate games and cut team apart.
  4. I always presumed it would be: Quality ready made DM + Young exciting attacking mid. Or Young exciting DM + Quality ready made attacking mid. Probably spunk 40m one and 20m on the other.
  5. Courtois looks just like a young Charles De Gaulle.
  6. Watching Lampard on the touchline he genuinely looks like a guy who doesn't know what he's doing. He looks like a parent watching and u14s game. Chelsea are a farce and I love it.
  7. Villa set the tone. We need to set the tone. Once we get a grip of the game against the likes of Leeds and Everton, we win. If we are sloppy and allow them in, their crowd gets up, their players get hope and we have a problem.
  8. It entirely depends on the club mind. He's a "Dyche 14m". Absolutely no point in having him in an expansive team. If you are set up well to defend he will be decent.
  9. I think, to a man, we all agree Isak is the more talented player but we've seen how well they have coped with being rotated. It deals with Wilsons fitness and it keeps Isak hungry. I'm happy with either but i do feel like Isak would have the bigger impact late on.
  10. Its an annoyance of mine how many of our fans think all of our players are worthless. I've said this before but: Lascelles 14m (we got Burn for similar) Manquillo 2/3m Dubravka 5m Murphy 16m (we won't sell Murphy) Targett 12m ASM 35/40m Krafth 7m Miggy 30/35m Before you @ me, we are on for a top 4 finish and just sold Chris fucking Wood for 20m or some shit. Players like Murphy/Lascelles are well worth that value if they keep someone in the league. Prices are inflated and stupid, we need to start taking advantage of it. I'm not saying we should sell the above players, more that we could.
  11. Has to be: Pope Tripper Schar Botman Burn Bruno Longstaff Willock Miggy/Murphy Joelinton Wilson/Isak I know loads will want Targett in but it just won't happen. What about Miggy vs Murphy? What about Isak vs Wilson? I've got a sneaky suspicion he will stick with Murphy, in order to give Miggy another week and I also think he brings Wilson in. Gordon, Miggy and Isak from the bench.
  12. If Luke thinks our initial budget was only 20m.... his story may not be the most accurate.
  13. Villa, man u, us and Spurs, I think? They are bound to slip up.
  14. Would take a draw every day in that one.
  15. Good analysis. I can't see us losing more than 2 and I can't see us winning less than 3. We will pick up enough points to creep over the line.
  16. Man utd are nailed on now. Enjoy ya sel.
  17. If we beat Spurs, we go on a run. If we lose, it's squeaky bum time.
  18. Did another predictor. This time I included Brighton and Villa, as well as us, Spurs and Man U. I had us finishing 4th, 7 points ahead of Spurs in 5th, who were 3 ahead of Brighton in 6th, then Villa in 7th. Just as note, we drew against Spurs, Brighton and Arsenal at home, won the rest against Leicester, Southampton, Leeds and Everton. I thought that was fair since there's a good chance we convert those draws into wins and also a fair chance we don't win all those other games. What works so so well for us, is that all of our rivals play each other. Brighton against Villa for example. Spurs have Man United and Liverpool. The fixtures just fall for us.
  19. People shouldn't need to be pissed to make a noise. Nor should being pissed be a reason for a lull in the atmosphere. Ultimately, the team need to get at them, set the tempo. The fans will get on top of Spurs and the players should gain confidence. It massively favours us that Spurs are on the ropes.
  20. Aye but isn't the issue that our VAR decisions were correct ones, where as that one and the Spurs ones were laughably dismissed? I agree the officials are awful. I agree there's no conspiracy. I don't agree that the so called "big six" don't get a subconscious bias.
  21. You know how I know it was a pen? Gary Neville said it was and then never mentioned it again. Like it never happened. He such a biased cunt.
  22. Arsenal have proper shit themselves. City beat them and then it's all over IMO.
