Don't know if it's been said but apparently the big wigs are going to be doing media stuff in the next two weeks so hopefully we will get some answers and clarity.

And it matters because we've had some absolute clowns in the past who would have either claimed we'd played brilliantly, berated the players or even worse.. blame the fans. (was it Pardew who blamed the fans?)

Har... vey (Du du du) I think I'm in love.. And your arrows hitting me.. I tried.

Amen. We've got 2 viable (didn't say good ) subs who can take the weight off them but theres absolutely no reason* to not start Gordon and Barnes going forward. *Unless Howe has a tactical reason, like using Murphy as a wing back.

I've seen nothing from Trippier that suggests he will be anything other than professional about his situation. I don't think he will be happy but he won't cause disruption. I think there has been a misjudgement of what's go on. He didn't ask to leave because he lost the captaincy or his place in the side. He lost his place in the side and the captaincy because he wanted to leave in January.... and Tino Livramento is class. If he kicks up a stink and stops performing, his options for leaving only get worse. I can absolutely see him leaving in January... injuries permitting.

Always the same man. We've got one of the best sides we've had in 20 years, a manager who is incredibly competent (as well as being a fantastic bloke), we've got an ownership who are ultra ambitious and have hired who they think are the best of the best to move us forward. Sure I want us to keep moving forward and sure there are moments of frustration and even strategic mistakes... but it blows my mind how some can still delve into hysteria over a few hiccups and not take a step back and see what they have in front of them. The club is in a great place. Plenty of work to do, sure. A few things to think about r.e transfers going forward but otherwise an absolute joy compared to what we'd been served up the previous 15 years (and before that under Shepherd).

Does anyone have details on this? Loan/perm, fee? Always like seeing domestic lads going abroad. Better having an amazing life experience than stinking up the lower leagues. Good luck to him.

You should get a new pair of pants for that.

3 games. It's been 3 games. Timely reminder that there were people bitching and moaning two seasons ago when we finished 4th.... right up until the point we actually finished 4th. "We can't do it." "We won't do it." "These players are shite." And on and on. We played well and won loads last season. We will again this season.

He lost the ball 3 times in a row, which was shocking. On the other hand, he did what he always does and offers pace, professionalism and energy.

We seem more conservative, which has made the defence look slightly less exposed (until that spell today) but I think the attack has suffered. As Rafa always said, it's about balance.

Someone suggested it in the match thread I think.

Needs a mental rest and a physical jolt. He's shown his quality. He will again.

Including the cup game, in each one of our games we've looked: Very good in spells God awful in spells Showed amazing character I've always been told by cunts like Roy Keane that good sides can play poorly and win games, so I'd be interested to know if that applies to us. We are absolutely know where near our best but all of the pitch we have players battling for their positions for a change. A really good start results wise. If Eddie can get some extra fitness work in their legs and remind them of how good they can be on the ball then we can absolutely compete with Spurs and Co for Europe..... ... and yes, had we signed a couple it would have helped.
