I promise you I wouldn't. I can also promise you that I'm a hypocritical cunt. In all seriousness, I can't even remember the Jota one.

Also let's say Gordon had jumped over the keeper and the ball had now ran into a tight angle and he missed, you are saying that's fair? So what's going to happen next week? Goalkeepers are going to throw themselves at everything knowing that the striker is now massively disadvantaged. 95% of players do exactly what Gordon did and rightly so. Again, I'm not saying that I don't understand your frustration with the modern game but that's not really the discussion. The question is whether it was a penalty. It was.
-
But it was a penalty and has always been a penalty. You not thinking it was a pen, doesn't make it not a pen. I get sometimes in football there are "could go either way" situations, like the Joelinton one. This isn't that. I'm surprised anyone that watches football thinks it's not a penalty. Also @LFEE this is PL football. It's not mates having a kick about. We can all talk holistically about how we'd like to see football. It's irrelevant, it's a a million miles from the game we want. If you say "I wish it wasn't a penalty", no issues, in fact I'd agree.

Aye it was brushed off on Tnt. In fairness, I don't want players sent off for that but we were done for Schar doing fuck all first game..

Of course it was a pen. Even if the keeper didn't touch him it's a pen. You can't go launching yourself at the ball without winning it and forcing the attacking player to, at minimum, take evasive action. Who cares if Gordon played for it? It's not relevant in a football conversation in 2024. Pep admitted it was a pen. Lescott said it was a pen. It was a pen. It really sounds like some of us can't enjoying anything at times.

It's very telling that Howe didn't sub him for Kelly. Would have been an easy switch but he was so good that Howe was happy with him. Lost the ball a couple of times but only because he was brave enough to have it in the first place.

I know, I was being silly. Amazing how much of an engine he has for the seeming lack of pace. Was brilliant on the ball. Back to his best.

Ran the furthest again, which seems like some sort of optical illusion at times.

Worth 70m of anyone's money.

It's those tiny touches he takes under pressure which sets him apart. This is just the beginning. Remember he's not Bruno, he doesn't have the natural swagger but as time goes on he will become more confident in his surroundings and in his role. He was tactically superb. Never left the gaps that some of our others have done in recent times. His recovery pace is what we've been missing, he can press and drop into shape.

My gaffer. Tactically superb.

Sick of these disgusting performances under Howe.

Sandro again not getting involved. Cunt.

It's a pen. Keeper impedes him at worst. Has always been a pen.
