Bruno is on 120kish, same as Trippier. Joelinton should get around 110k IMO and if he signs a long contract, I'd have no issue with 60m release clause. That sort of money would give us huge wriggle room financially to replace him. Leaving on a free at the end of a contract is seen as a slap in the face in the footballing world these days, even though a players is entitled to do just that. Also worth baring in mind that Eddie Howe resurrected his career and made him the player he is. He'd have been playing in Turkey or somewhere without him. Would be annoyed with any player who doesn't at least leave gracefully.

Totally disagree, loads of big clubs have public back and forths over contracts, Salah comes to mind. Besides, there's no rules to what is and isn't "small time". Eddie can do what he wishes.
-
He made it clear that running into the last 12 months wasn't an option. Makes perfect sense when at a minimum we are looking at 40m worth of player.

Entirely different players. If Joe does have to be sold.... we can either fleece enormous money from a PL club or sell him abroad.
-
Think Howe was putting a bit of pressure on Joelinton there and so he should. Whatever wage Bruno is on, Joe should earn slightly less and that would be about fair. If he's asking for more, then he's gone.

Hojbjerg is a steady eddy DM. I could see why he'd be considered as a plan c loan if we can't shuffle our cards around to create finance. Let's remember, it could come down to whether we have to change formation if we lose any more midfielders to injuries. A loan deal for a bonefide PL midfielder might not be that shocking. Hardly ideal.

I was part of an incredibly successful billion pound team, you don't see me crowing about it. Just worked in Tesco like but every little helps.
-
Aye its shocking that we've spent so much money on players that we can longer spend on players. Honestly man.

Is it not so simple as we are actively trying to sell one of our older players, who are coming near to the end of their shelf life anyway, in order to give us the wriggle room to recruit someone in this window? That means you've got agents and clubs talking behind the scenes, which in turn leads to press leaks about x,y and z, alot of which is leaked precisely to garner interest from an agents end. I suspect the club are hopping between publicly being seen to want to keep players but also dangling them in the shop window in case they can get an inflated price. There's nowt wrong with that. In Eddie's press conference he will tell us all that he absolutely doesn't want to lose anyone and nobody should believe a word of it. If someone drops 20m on Trippier, of course he's gone but that's a compliment in many ways because it tells us how highly the club values him. I suspect in the final days someone who Miggy fancies joining will stump up enough to make us blink, at which point we will move on our own target. Brinkmanship ain't it.

It's not unprofessional, at all. It's just drama queen's who've played too much football manager or believe everything they read or hear.

This January has been a "shitshow". We've not sold anyone or bought anyone but a "shitshow". Perhaps get rid of Twitter or put the phone down?

Wilson to West Ham is soooo West Ham. I can deal with anyone leaving.... if we sign someone worth signing. I'd be gutted to lose someone and not get at least one quality player through the door. Not that I can see that happening.
-
Tonali should be a captain figure but he's got to find his feet first.
-
25m I could see, 30m in an inflated market perhaps, for them to want 60 is laughable. I'm also fairly sure that it's absolute nonsense. I doubt we are even interested, we certainly won't be interested for more than we paid for Tonali.

I don't think there is any panic going on over form, what I thinks happening is a scramble to release FFP wriggle room for Howe to get one player in this window. Once the window closes everything will calm down. In the summer, there was always a likelihood that players like Miggy, Wilson and others may go. Its just a natural cycle. Incomings in the summer is going to be interesting. I reckon we could see 200m spent on 4 first teamers, which will be fine if we can shift on one or two.
-
This Vermont thing?.... Season of the dicks?
-
It looks very much like the writing is on the wall.
-
Although it does feel more of a summer move than now. Who knows..
-
I reckon it would take at least the 45m we paid for Gordon. If we pay upfront like we did with Gordon, they might be tempted.
-
They paid 25m + add-ons, so it's hard to know exactly where they value him now.
-
Another one for the complete made up shite pile.
-
Certainly pleased he's staying, even if I saw the merit in a sale. Part of me wants him to end his career here and possibly end up moving into coaching.
-
Actually didn't realise it was 25m plus add-ons for Gibbs-White. If those add-ons haven't yet been achieved, it could well be a goer. Let's say for example Forest have paid 35m for him so far, a 45m bid from us might look tempting given how it would look from an FFP perspective at their end. He might play as a 10 but a transition into an attacking 8, a inverted RW or even an option up front are hardly a million miles away, considering his ability. He's a player I really rate. Proper carried Forest at times. Won't please the Eddie Howe Brexit mags brigade though.
