I have a feeling that a person of influence at the club reads this forum and is influenced by the majority opinion on things here. Smith no longer playing, Perch dropped, Hughton wearing a suit, starting with two up front yesterday etc. Gotta give Hughton credit for being so willing to change things around. Such a refreshing change from Kinnear, Souness and Roeder.

Because we're not obligated to attack. When we play away, our attacks tend to develop naturally, either through a good counter-attacking move or us shifting the play, passing it slowly and looking for space and time to create something. When we play at home, we're forced to attack, so our players sit further up the pitch, have less space to move into and consequently makes it harder for us to create good chances. Our home form will improve when we play teams who play a bit more of an open game.

Hughton's hair is ridiculous

You think so? I thought he was pretty crap. Almost bobbled both crosses that he got to and at one point was in no man's land. Pretty bad judgment overall but all of that can only get better with experience so I'm not too worried. Thought he was quite composed. Came out for quite a few balls today and collected them all. He didn't even do the nervous hopeful punch thing that many keepers favour.

It was an excellent team performance. All of them contributed to the win, no one had to carry the team, we defended well as a team and worked hard to get the points. Just a good day's work for the boys.

Whatever he said at HT worked. Well done. We're putting in decent performances, so he's definitely doing something right. I still have faith that he'll keep us up.
