Because he might actually prefer to win honestly? The fact that you're questioning him says quite a lot about you, tbh.

It would certainly affect my feelings of winning. You want to be proud of your team. You're proud not only when you win, but when you fight hard, when you play with passion, when you play honestly, when you play beautifully. This is part of football as well. It's not only about winning or losing. I was damn proud of us when we lost 4-1 to Man Utd in the semis a few years back, and I was proud of us getting to two finals in a row as well. Diving to win a pen may win you a trophy, but it'd also make me less proud of the team for winning it in that way.

Messi, 1-0.

Drogba

If Anelka doesn't get on then surely Berbatov comes on as an auto-sub, no?

Andy Townsend saying Malouda's first goal was a 'top class finish'

now i know who dave was talking about. Apisith - he's got great power, suppose he learnt how to use that strength effectively, whereas he used to let his head drop after a hard challenge. not sure who the 2nd best wide player would be - Nani or Bale i suppose. Agreed. He's quick and strong, but his crossing, passing, movement etc. don't really seem to mark him out from the other better players in the league, but he uses his pace and strength so devastatingly that he's been pretty much unstoppable for the past two years.

It seems like City haven't started the season well, but with a win today they'll be up to 4th and just 3 points behind Arsenal and Man Utd. Pretty decent, imo.

Yep. He's just incredibly effective in this formation. It doesn't look like he does anything particularly well, but he's got two good feet and a knack of showing up at the right time to finish moves.

The scary thing is that last season, they dominated the other "big" clubs. They only won the league by a single point, though. Essien gives them a different dimension. Last season they had Ballack, who was a passenger in the team.

4-0, Malouda.

Yellow for Drogba. Sweet, everyone in my league has him in their fantasy team.

Holy shit, Chelsea are awesome

Shit keeping by Gilkes. Had enough time to react to that deflection.

3-0, Drogba.

I reckon Tiote could fuck Drogba up.

2-0. 80 minutes to go

Ancelotti deserves a lot of credit for discarding Mourinho's style of football, which seemed to be ingrained into the Chelsea players. The football they play these days is just too devastating, too effective.

Holloway's column this week will be interesting

Kalou, 1-0. Let the killing begin.
