He played pretty well tonight against Ashington but let himself down slightly in the 2nd half when after a slight block went down very easily while squealing like a girl. It was quite embarrassing and angered the Ashington players and sparked a few minutes of tasty challenges mostly on him!! He reacted again after about the 3rd foul/late challenge in the space of 5 mins.

£20 for a ticket is way too much for a friendly, especially against an average side. Same price as we pay for cup games! i've been to the games at Darlo, Gateshead and was at Ashington tonight but haven't any interest in 2moro's game. Think its just a culmination of the crap summer and farce of the pre season, i'm going into the season on a massive downer.

i thought that he must have had a knock, he walked off to the dug out and then after talking to the coaches just kept on walking off and down the tunnel, hopefully it nothing serious. I doubt it'll be anything bad but may keep him out of Fiorentina, suppose we'll find out at the weekend.

he came in with everyone on a downer, looked like he was winning round the crowd and by half way through the first half against West Brom had the fans chanting his name only for us to be cursing him again after chucking away the lead and letting the mackems overtake us, looked like he was improving us again 6 weeks ago with the "french revolution" but now is basically back to rock bottom as the last couple of weeks have just shown him up to be a puppet manager.

pretty much agree with those ratings with probably the exception of Richardson, done brilliant for the first goal with a peach of a cross but he's not a full back and was caught out quite a bit and Gateshead exposed him early in the game although he didn't get much help from Taylor. Surely we'd have been better off with Taylor at full back and Richardson on the right wing.

can't be bothered to go through the ratings, it was a pretty drab game, was impressed with Abeid in the middle of the park but will wait till he plays against better oppostion before i get too carried away. Smith and Raylor were probably 2 of the worst players on the pitch and i'm including the Gateshead players!! Thought Gateshead were pretty decent, rattled the woodwork a couple of times in the first half with Harper nowhere near the shots.

reserves play Gateshead on Tuesday night and Ashington on Friday

He hasn't played for months, i think its wise to ease him back gently, he played against Columbus in midweek, also featured against Kansas. It could be in the medical/sports science staff that training rather than another game is more beneficial in getting him ready for the new season.

"wee Harry"?? have you seen him, he's a big lad!!! With HBA out and Marveaux looking like he's still not 100% i'd be tempted to play him off the striker(his natural postition) against Arsenal. Once the season gets up and running and HBA and Marveaux are fit i expect Haris to take over from Ranger as the impact sub. As long as he stays fit i think he'll get plenty minutes on the pitch.

Kadar is in Holland, not sure if he's played in any of the games, he played during the summer for Hungary so not sure if he's reported back for pre-season later than the others.
