It works both ways, there is clear evidence that he will sort this out next season based upon past seasons with us. A portion of the fanbase are being hugely reactionary because results aren't going out way and ignore the fact that every team has fluctuations in form, even bad seasons. There are huge mitigating factors that explains the season we are having.. and that has all been talked about to the nth degree. But people don't want to acknowledge it and can't handle the idea of any transitional periods hence these OTT reactions to a poor performance. Imo he should be allowed the summer window, and to allow the structure in place to actively identify and targets players.. a structure that should work in a way where we progress multiple targets at the same time.. and not wait two weeks for a player to say 'no' to them decide to move onto the next on the list. That's my pet peeve. It was all too reactive last summer. Just seemed like they were making it up as they go along because of the Isak curveball. He should get the benefit of doubt. People talk about him as if he's Steve Bruce Mk II.

Aye, you said you had no actual point to begin with.
-
Trafford improves us significantly tbf.
-
No. Someone was arguing that the same amount of criticism is levelled at PIF as it does Howe.
-
Based on the reaction today we were just expected to stroll up today at Selhurst Park and get the three points. Would have been the same at 1-1.
-
Which is less than a tenth. Like I originally said.
-
If he sorts the goalkeeper position out, defence and gets a striker in, we are walking it with no Europe comps.
-
This. It's pure entitlement. Wanting everything yesterday and unable to emotionally handle the ups and downs of supporting a football team.
-
Ok, so you had no point and nothing actually to discuss. Thought so.
-
I said the level of criticism is vastly different between Howe and PIF.. Which you disagreed with for some reason. This has 20 new pages since FT. And the other has just over 1. Quite a stark difference.
-
Shows how much of a poor domestic campaign it has been. Like the one we had before we turned it around in the summer and got a cup and CL spot. I get it people want new shiny things every now and then. Shows how fickle and forgetful people can be.
-
This has had 20 new pages since FT. How many new pages has the PIF one had since then?
-
Howe was unbeaten against him before today. 10 goals to 1 in 4 games. So that's a weird point to make. Those teams also have organised backrooms and structure in place. With good scouting.
-
How many times does that get bumped compared to the constant whinging within this one?
-
Teams with structure and an organised back room staff? Sounds nice, when can we have that?
-
How are they? They would walk into our team. Improve almost every other team in the league.. creative, pacey, strength can all run with the ball. Who are you suggesting we sign.. it sounds like you want the exact opposite type of player? A Peter Crouch?
-
Was last summer transfer window a normal one? we lost our best player. And couldn't sign the first, second, third or fourth player that we wanted to replace him. It's pretty unacceptable for a manager to be in that position. Basically turns the next season into a transitional season and a slog.
-
Like the time he bought us Isak and Bruno? Or his numerous attempts to sign Ekitike, Sesko, Pedro, Cunha and Mbeumo. That would have been a decent point if it were true.
-
PIF gets a tenth of the criticism that Howe gets. It's not comparable.
-
Some people are saying he has credit and in the next sentence saying they want him out.
-
The summer window was a disaster. And the reasons for that has been discussed ad nauseam. Everyone knows why by now. If he has credit with you would at least give him the summer with this new structure in place, and see how we start. He turned a relegation fodder team into a CL team in a summer. And a team that struggled into a CL and trophy winning team.
-
The people who want Howe out, whoever comes in next would you allow them a prolonged period poor run of form? An transitional season? How long could you live with underperformance before wanting them out. As based on our current manager, who has won us a trophy here, who despite the shite season took us to a LC semi, CL quarters and should be much higher in the PL with better defending and goalkeeping, you don't give him much time.
-
There were very few signs back in 2023 when our form was dire, just like now, and he turned the form around. He turned around a team that was 100% destined for relegation. People give him very little credit. It's no wonder the fan base is labeled deluded. This season has been poor, but we have the right guy to sort it. He's done it twice before already.
-
You serious? ..This time last year we had just won a cup. I'm sure in your opinion that no elite managers have ever had their teams underachieve for a season or two. No such thing as blips.
-
This season the performances are bad. That's why he needs the opportunity to fix them in the summer. Which he's more than capable of He transformed a relegation fighting team into a Champions League one in short time.
