  1. Aye, makes a total mockery of just wanting a team that tries.
  2. Can't imagine being this miserable.
  3. No, it will almost definitely be a project manager.
  4. How is he in the market? Harvey Elliot and Sancho doing much? Guess what his record is like against the teams in the middle of the table
  5. That guy said he wanted Simeone yesterday. A very expensive, cup manager, who underperforms domestically, who demands a team who runs around a lot first and foremost, signs Conor Gallagher, who has won 4 away games all season. And doesn't speak fluent English.
  6. Considering Maresca, Rosenior, Arne Slot, Arteta, OGS and Michael Carrick have had or are in bigger jobs. Howe is better than the majority of that lot. Working on a smaller budget, with much tighter resources. So odds are he will be in a top job sooner rather than later. My money is on Liverpool.
  7. He won a cup against Liverpool just last season. With a team with a budget a 1/4 of the size of Liverpool. He will be fine there.
  8. He has improved pretty much everyone. Even managed to get Joelinton caps for Brazil. How many players are rated at or close to £100 million now? Wasn't that way when he walked in.
  9. You can literally say the same about ANY manager in the world right now. Look at some of the losses Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea etc have had this year. It's a competitive league, on their day any team can beat anyone. That's why the PL is the most watched league in the world. Wolves beat Arsenal a few weeks ago. We finished in Champions League that year. So he couldn't have done that badly.
  10. An intelligent, young, hardworking, articulate, English, cup winning manager, who gets the very best out of his players and plays front footed football, would be of interest to many top teams.
  11. Because we aren't doing well at the minute it's easy to marginalise what he's actually achieved here. I get it. But that statement is totally wrong.
  12. Liverpool would be mad to not appoint him if were to become available. He's defied expectations here in the main. Conducts himself well, extremely professional. And aside from that he has tried to sign a fair amount of their players in the past. Ekitike Szoboslai Mamardashvili Quansah Isak
  13. Howe will get a better job. Only one loser if we sack him.
  14. Beat Bournemouth last time we played. We totally outplayed Arsenal in the same fixture last year. Would have won with a striker that day. And Brighton due a win against them.
  15. I agree it has gone stale. But I think Howe is the most important figure we have, and I'm very confident he knows what he needs to fix our predicament. And if we are organised in the summer window and take it seriously. We will have a great season, with no Europe, be no excuses.
  16. Simeone has just been a good cup manager for the last 4 seasons, seems to be living off that. His team has won 4 away games all season as well. Wouldn't get away with that here. Howes tactics were good recently against PSG, Barcelona home, Man Utd, Chelsea away. And that's just recent weeks.
  17. This is where the entitlement talk. Just expecting us to get champions League football. As if it's trivial. He also won a trophy that year, with his team that he assembled. But he didn't overperform that particular season? Ok. He more than deserves another crack, one where he doesn't seem to sell his best player and be without a DoF.
  18. They have under achieved for 4 or so years and he recently signed Conor Gallagher, our fans would be going mad. He doesn't even speak fluent English.
  19. For a start half the fanbase would be unconvinced by the decision, just like when Howe walked in. And you would have to question why sack a manager who has over performed in his role because of one poor season. And take a total gamble on someone else.
  20. Considering how Simeone builds a team of very physical, hard working runners, and that's one of the oft-repeated criticisms from the Howe-out camp about us, he can't be considered.
  21. Yes agreed. But it hasn't worked and he owns that decision. But we are all, as fans, fully aware that Woltemade was way down the list. He certainly wasn't first choice. With a DoF in place we could have potentially avoided being in the situation where it's Woltemade or no-one.
  22. The summer was chaos. We desperately needed a keeper and the only one identified was Trafford. Totally rudderless in the backroom without a DoF. I hope lessons are learnt, but with how slow PIF are to give us a greenlight to do anything, who knows what happens.
  23. I'm not sold on Elanga, and for the fee would have expected much better. I don't see him working out. Would personally cut my losses in the summer. With Ramsay, I really like him and can see him being an important player for us in the future especially if Tonali leaves.

It's profit that doesn't count isn't it? So to sell him for the remaining book value we have left, should be fine, I would have thought.

    Aye, whatever we paid.
