The season hasn't finished yet.

Hopefully. But if it does happen how many years can be lost? Spurs sacking Poch is still haunting them to this day. Whereas we are in a position where Howe has been let down in the summer and the team has struggled this year as a result. Best for everyone to support him and see how he goes next season before being rash.
-
We certainly moved on from Keegan, Bobby, Rafa into a wilderness for many years when we attempted to replace them. Setting us back a long time.
-
Whatever signings are made should be elevating the team not going sideways.
-
With one game a week, should be aiming top 7 at least.
-
When the team becomes stale no manager can be exempt from the effects of it. It's how they then react. Pep last year, Klopp had seasons with the team in a slump, etc etc. Needs the summer to fix what's gone wrong, but a lot stems from the lack of DoF in the summer.
-
Gutted that we didn't sign a top goalkeeper in the summer. And a mobile striker, we all thought (well I certainly did at least) that Wissa would get us the goals but hasn't materialised. Not having a good keeper or striker has probably cost us 10 points at least.

That net spend has got us silverware, cup finals and champions league campaigns. Our current predicament is an outlier when you look at the whole 5 years, and is part of a bigger problem, that wasn't Howe's making.
-
They haven't won any silverware or had any European campaigns. This season, our summer fiasco, is a big reason why we are so bad. They have spent very well. And done well.
-
Net is the right one to use. I'm saying there is more to it though. And you have have to take into account the level you are starting from. Starting from bottom And other teams as title contenders.
-
I mean there are many reasons why which have been done to death on here.
-
It's very misleading argument though. The net figures of the top teams are much lower since they have sold unwanted players, and young talent they have hoovered over over many years for huge fees and are allowed to sell to Saudi. When we started spending we had no players of value, so could only buy. Couldn't sell dross for inflated fees.
-
The net amount is the only useful figure. Gross is misleading.
-
Agree. We didn't have the luxury of being able to shift players for big money like those teams as well. Since we had a team of no value. Our only saleable assets in that early period was basically ASM.
-
It's a bit misleading they hoover up young talent and sell for big figures. Just off the top of my head.. Palmer Trafford Lavia Not to mention the big names sold for big money: Alvarez Sterling Mahrez Jesus
-
Is that about 350/400m net? That's pretty good going to get us from certain relegation, to two champions League campaigns, two cup finals and one cup tbf.
-
You can't be 100% sure though. Stranger appointments have happened.
-
Still don't think you're getting the point. The fan's don't get to choose the manager. You have no idea who the options are going to be. You might not like them and it could be as shocking as a Southgate or a Tudor. You have no say in it.
-
They have been on a death spiral since Poch. Probably be relegated this year.
-
I don't think you get the point. You have no control who we appoint. Spurs appointed Tudor just a few months ago, and Chelsea have Rosenior steering the ship. Bad appointments, which aren't what the fans want or expect, are not unusual.
-
Considering it's not your decision to make, why are you so sure. Daft appointments are made all the time.
-
Fans don't get to choose the appointment. What makes you think they won't be considered? This is why the whole idea is insane to me. Total unknown.

He doesn't like Howe. Therefore no one else out there, who knows football, must like Howe.
