It's not that you can't have fun as a ST holder or member, it's just that it's something that they can and will ultimately use against you so that you behave in the manner they choose. For example, I've almost been chucked out of the ground on a few occassions as a yongster for purely singing Newcastle songs in an area where no-one else was. They'll have us all like that evenually. It's s*** man. I'm a member and have great craic at away matches and sing plenty. Most away games are decent and within the rules. If people are chucked out for what you suggest there, then that is too draconian. I don't think this move will impact on the atmosphere at away games though. the whole sanitisation of football crowds is a bigger debate though.

Get lost, man. It's a reason why there are almost no playmakers in the PL. And the few that exists, spends most of their time in the injury room, eg Fabregas and Arteta. I think the toughness of PL could explain some of that absence. It's important to rotate players according to the opponents we're up against. Away against City is not the place we should take three points anyway. Why risk him? We very nearly got something at their spot last year - asking for trouble just giving up on getting anything at these places. Even in the year we went down we got sommat at Chelsea and Man United
