I'm impressed by the signing of Ba and Cabaye, keen to see what Marveux can do, hopeful that Abeid can develop into a good player and unsure on Obertan. No need for the above post in this thread. As opposed to the hundreds of absolutely essential posts that came before it? Being the latest one posted it was at the bottom of the thread as I read it. Sorry but I haven't got the time to comment on eaach individual post. Yours did strike me as being unneceassarily negative though I was responding to the post before mine. I sometimes do that, I'm zany that way. Then quoting is customary - especially when your post is on a new page and is depressing dirge

You can quote me on that? Don't think much of yourself eh?

Good, young and versatile player. Just what we need at the back at the mo.

Looks a decent deal. Would give us much needed pace and strength in depth in a key position. If the climate was generally better this might be seen as a more positive signing.

Bit of a forum low point

We'd best be planing on creating him a f*** load of chances then No we'd be intending on creating as few as possible for him I'm sure
-
And no doubt Ba, Cabye, Marveux and Abeid will have it tatooed on their foreheads

Nolan has a real finishers instinct though - not sure we can say the same of Gosling. He does look real box to box now he is fit though. The kind of midfielder that Roeder erroneously tried to make Scott parker into. I wouldn't argue with that, Nolan was class in the penalty area. But Gosling might be better at the actual midfield stuff which bypassed Nolan mostly. I agree and I think Gosling could prove a real asset in that repspect

I'm not sure how you think the two situations can't be compared, is it because you don't want them to be? It looks like two players have been judged by the club because of behaviour both at and away from the club, one has done worse things than the other. Ranger has not only persistently been late for training over an 18 month period but he has also shown a general disregard for anything not 'Gangsta' enough, shunning training opportunities with players considerably better than himself. We also heard from a senior player a while ago that he's not the most liked in the squad, with his antics spilling out into the street. Carroll at least applied himself to his profession and became a focal point of the team. Ranger hasn't scored three times for the senior side. His highlight last season being that truly awful miss against West Ham. His issue with Taylor was not comparable to mouthing off in the Cinema or not being able to get out of bed in the morning. I would say his highlight was coming on and changing the game against Liverpool I think you're being generous, and he certainly didn't change the game at Arsenal. No but he helped us improbably hold on

BTW if there are championship clubs who don't want Loven (or Routledge) they are off their heads. They are clasic promotion players.
-
And yet he can pop up and score key goals. Ranger hasn't done that as yet. Ranger needs a loan and ideally Loven needs replacing. Yet if it was one or the other I'd loan out ranger and keep Loven for the last year.
-
Sure you did, you genius! Fookin concussion from getting hit on the head by a ball.
-
Classy. Llambias had an eppy about a few anti Carroll chants at Anfield

The pitch looks immense. Can't wait for Aresnal now.
-
He doesn't seem to have let the Pards rejection impact on his self image

Fantastic, I've always wanted to have representations of my extended family and my dog kicked repeatedly in the face by Lee Cattermole and Karl Henry.

Fair point. Though he does have experience of the Premier League and we'll need some of that when Tiote is at the ACN.
