To me, he's been a pleasant surprise as he has contributed more at this level than I ever thought him capable of. However, he is not good enough for the first team if we have any ambition of breaking the top 7 on a regular basis. Good squad player to have though.

Makes no sense to me at all. When the opposition is sitting deep you need players like HBA who can operate in a small space, not players like Sammy who need lots of space to run into.

Robin van Persie, since he came through the ranks at Feyenoord (my hometown club) it was clear he was going to be a bit special. Great to see him fulfilling his potential. Not just a good goal scorer or a phenomenal player, but also a fantastic leader on the pitch. Shame he is so injury prone, and he wasn't at his best at the World Cup. Could have been the difference between winning it or losing the final, as it happened..
