Can you give me a source that specifically statez Ashley was unaware of any loans the club had when he purchased it. Find that very hard to believe.. Now, not reading the loan agreement smallprint stating it was instantly repayable I can imagine if you conclude a deal in such a short space of time, but not even checking its balance sheet!? Howay man.. He didn't do due diligence to find out what he was liable for, that was a stupid thing to do and as a business man he should have known better.

We've acquired a good striker, we just needed another. Exactly, and the second striker only became our biggest priority after we secured a good fullback as well. Don't get me wrong, I wanted another striker, but it had to be one whose quality was way above the ones we've got. That always made it harder to achieve, especially under the frugal spending limits we've set ourselves. You said yourself a couple of weeks ago it would be an absolute shambles if we didn't get in another striker now... Do you want me to refresh your memory?

you should always look to improve in all positions, however, to me, with ba and bent, strikers weren't the most important position to stregthen. with merveaux and ben arfa i'd like to think we wont be playing 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1. You think we have Bent playing for us..? It's not Darren Bent, it's fucking Leon Best.. No wonder you didn't think we needed another striker..

Off topic, but my Twente supporting brother in law reckons their club have a pretty juicy selling on fee for Tiote. He was all excited when it was rumoured the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal were interested.

Get this "over the line" lads! Best option we have been linked to since Gameiro/Gervinho. Pretty realistic too. He wants to leave Twente and play in the Premiership. Spurs were rumoured to be interested, but now with only Fulham and us as concrete options I think we stand a pretty good chance of pulling this off if we really want to!
