Jose Enrique out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury
Unbelievable replied to a topic in Football
Let's hope we keep him and he finds consistency with experience and age.. -
In what way, Stoke at home, he comes off 2-0 up, Pompey he comes off 2-0 up. Against Stoke we'd scored the second in the 24th minute and Martins was subbed in the 74th minute, after we'd been taking incessant pressure for about 20mins. Today he scored the second in the 77th minute, virtually condemning a s**** Pompey side to defeat. So against Stoke, you're saying we were under pressure even before Martins went off. That didn't change when he went off. Today against Pompey, we weren't under pressure before Martins went off, and that didn't change either. Are you for real?! Is the danger of hitting a team on the break to finish the game off when you're under the cush a concept you have trouble understanding?

By the time Martins was taken off (due to injury let's not forget) Pompey had completely given up on the match. They weren't even putting pressure on the ball anymore.. Anybody who can't see the difference between those two situations doesn't understand football if you ask me..

It seems clueless was being too kind..

That's the thing, for all his pace, he's done nowt when he's got it these last 10 minutes and the ball's keep coming back at us. clueless What was wrong about my statement up until the goal? If you have to ask you are worse than I feared. One he has had a very good game for us, two he was keeping the Pompey defense on their toes.. Well no, his contribution in those 10 minutes before the goal was giving the ball away, being put through clear twice and being tackled easily, giving up on one chase, and having a shot which went for a throw-in. Clueless, as I said..

I have a bad feeling about this one.. -
Shola's under 30, cheap and can offer a battering ram option on the bench which we don't have in our squad so I don't mind that so much. Nicky Butt is the one that pisses me off because I know he'll get picked week in, week out while he's here. So are most visitors of the Bigg Market on a Friday night. Doesn't make them qualified to play for Newcastle United though..

Sorry, its just like banging your head against a brick wall sometimes, thoses quotes are completely irrelvanent, we know thatKeegan has been undermined thats a fact, the 2 sides arent arguing this point which those quotes would back up. I feel the debate should of moved onto why he was undermined? Was it a simple case of him never having full control on transfers and was expected to accomodate any player the club decided to buy? (Thats seems to be the line alot of fans are taking) Or was it a case of him actually having full say on transfers but was unable to identify suitable targets that fit in with the transfer policy the club was trying to incorporate and therefore forced the clubs hand to act? In my opinion theres evidence that would suggest that the latter explanation is accurate. Cracking discussion you guys had on a Saturday night (night out on the toon not like it used to be?) From your two scenarios, I would suggest number one follows from number two.
