Hate the penalty decision, but those two are uncomparable. One is an actual foul (dont think it's a penalty personally, because Icardi was never going to get to the ball). But that second one is nowhere near a penalty. Flip! (I factually agree with you if I'm being honest)

The way he just went over, had a quick look and went back like it was an easy decision was mad. There is no way Icardi could have got to the ball The frame was paused on his screen too it seemed, as if only the contact mattered and nothing else. Messi scores a scorcher from distance

Two major things wrong with that decision. It was completely accidental and the ball was going straight to the keeper, so he was never ever going to score if the contact hadn't happened. How can a set of professional referees look at that passage of play multiple times and come to such a pathetic decision FFS?

There is no point. It's only served to make the game worse.
