  1. They see him as a left back who can fill in at centre back obviously, for some insane reason.
  2. Oh dear. Ah well, the transfer windows opens today doesn't it?
  3. Pat Murphy BBC Radio 5 live at Villa Park HALF-TIME Aston Villa 0-0 Crystal Palace Posted at "This game has been a shocker. It's a Gorgonzola of a stinker." Pardew's influence at work already
  4. Riviere poor bastard, playing well enough though. The whole team looks invigorated.
  5. Unbelievable

    John Carver

    f***ing hell imagine that trip.
  6. @CaulkinTheTimes Just my reading of it, but I'd imagine that would rule out a few usual suspects. The search is on - and not confined to the UK. @DamianSpellman @CaulkinTheTimes Hearing exactly the same. Aye, that doesn't sound too bad at all. I guess it also rules out some names at the other end of the spectrum. I doubt the likes of Frank de Boer and Thomas Tuchel, men with growing reputations who need to make their next move count if they want to move up in the world of football management, would consider coming here to be 'head coach'.
  7. Derek Llambias and Joe Kinnear may no longer work for the club, but you can rest assured they will be in Ashley's ear about this, unfortunately.
  8. It really is. This is our short window of opportunity to act like everything isn't s*** forever. It's a real opportunity for Ashley to change the mood around his ownership completely if he makes the right call. Who am I kidding?
  9. How great is this, being able to discuss our next manager?
  10. He's widely thought of as a top class coach mind. And since we need a coach and not a manager... He had all the top coaching badges when he was at Middlesbrough. It didn't stop him singing Alves and constantly putting players out of position. Alves was absolutely brilliant the season before at Heerenveen. It didn't work out at Boro, but there is no way in my mind signing him was a mistake.
