  1. Don't think we need him now per se, but if it ensures we get him and doesn't prevent us from doing more pressing business I'm all for it. Should mean he will have settled and adjusted in time for next season too.
  2. OM chairman has stated that Sissoko to them is "complicated" due to the 3 million transfer fee and competition from Monaco and ourselves. http://www.sport24.com/football/transferts/fil-info/om-sissoko-complique-608794
  3. Unbelievable

    Loïc Remy

Remy himself by the sounds of things.
  4. Not when it means getting him where we otherwise wouldn't, i.e. if he desperately wants a move in January and is willing to drop (a part of) any signing on fee to do it. Basically, we don't know anything without being privvy to the negotiations. I'm still far from confident he would choose us over Juventus mind.

  6. And therein lies the hypocrisy as far as Man U is concerned. They have been in a position to dominate domestic football for decades through outside (loan) investment in much the same way as the new oil rich clubs do, yet they now want to reel those in. Arsenal is a different kettle of fish altogether, what with trying to live within its means (stadium investment excluded). The fact Man U supports their FFP proposal harms them more than it serves them iyam.
  7. I fully agree with that last sentence leffe. Every club's voting behaviour will be based on what is ultimately in their own interests rather than the interest of the game itself.
  8. According to that article Sunderland may yet miss out to us for Sissoko. What?
  9. Interesting piece. This part is well -worthy:
  10. Unbelievable

    Loïc Remy

If that 8 million figure is true than that joke about SWP being valued at -2 million in that QPR offer may have actually been correct..
  11. Ferreia, Benfica right back, should be off surely..? Ridiculous challenge..
  12. Benfica should have made it 3-2 Edit: Cardozo
  13. Well they are playing Barcelona. If he can't even manage to show his potential here, how the hell would he fare on a cold night at Stoke on Trent?
  14. Has Isco managed to make himself an outcast from every team he'd ever been involved in? Don't understate the risk we took with Ben Arfa. Fair enough, but is Isco not a risk as we're talking a rather hefty limited fee for potential rather than finished product here from what I can gather..?
  15. Allright, I'm paying attention now. Has Isco touched the ball yet..
  16. You may well be right Mole, as I said I haven't really seen much of him, but every time I do watch Malaga I barely see anything to warrant the hype. His stats are not really all that either, I mean they're OK, but hardly spectacular. To put it into context, we paid 5 million for Ben Arfa. Is Isco right now a much better player than Benny was when we got him?
  17. For a player of his potential I'd say it is. Nice bit of hyperbole as well by mentioning Messi. I was completely serious. Cabaye had a 4 million release clause, now that is what I would call really low for a player of his ability. 15 million for a youngster with a lot of potential really low? Nah.. Consider the fees for Hazard, Oscar, and what Gotze and Muniain would cost. 15m is pretty good in comparison. Maybe I haven't seen enough of Isco, like I hadn't of Oscar tbf, but I think what Hazard, Gotze and Munain have shown is on a different level. In my defense I don't particularly make a point of watching every Malaga match like some others may do.
