You what? When he puts on a bit more muscle, he'll have the PHYSICAL attributes to perform as a modern day b2b midfielder. The closest thing we have to Yaya Toure. Why would you want a promising attacking midfield player/winger to bulk up so he can be used centrally? Doesn't make any sense to me. On top of that, I don't think there's a predescribed build for a box to box midfield player; it's much more about having the stamina and versatility to be effective both in you own third as well as in the final third. To be frank there are about 10 other players at the club I would describe as possible B2B players before Id mention Sammy..

He's got no left foot to make that square pass. He can make passes with his left easily. Crossing is another matter but I have seen him use his left to pass instinctively. Far more likely that he thought he was going to score. If he's going to be our long term left back then he needs to be coached to get outside and cross with his left far more. I've never been a fan of wrong-footed wide players, but it can work as long as the player can use his wrong foot effectively. At the moment Santon doesn't, he cuts inside 9 times out of 10. Should be back behind after training working on this everyday. His left foot is poor and he knows it hence how he tries his best never to use it. Or maybe he should play at RB? On the other hand, that's his natural role, although everybody, and especially Pardew, seem to have forgotten it. Erm, while I agree in principle (would have liked to have seen Santon develop as a RB and bring in a LB) we are on the verge of signing a new RB, so I think he will be LB for the foreseeable..

Bit like saying when a penalty is kicked through the middle and the goalkeeper picks a side he should have stayed in the middle. Except a penalty is taken from 12 yards out and a keeper usually has no option but to guess. Silly post, man. Sorry. As others have said, a wall is probably more of a hindrance to the goalkeeper than to the free kick taker from that distance. He anticipated it would be to his left, as that's where it would go 9 times out of 10. It didn't, and since it was a fucking thunderblast he couldn't react quickly enough. I think most goalkeepers would have done the same as Krul did, but yeah, feel free to have a go at the man who kept us in the match in the first place.

Out of interest, who defends him on here?

Psrdew has said he's not available on the club official site. Also, I believe Lille moved to goal posts in the summer, which cause Mike to oull out of the deal, not so much the amount itself.
-
Left you mean? Well yes, 90% of the time a left footer will try to curl that into the corner he moved towards, so it's understandable if unfortunate. Great hit, no complaints (apart from the free kick being given in the first place of course).

I'll be damned to believe the Daily Fail on anything. Will await the official club confirmation before rejoicing.

Got a much more rugged look about him than Yohan. Sexy in his own way. Kind of look that says he could bum you six ways to Sunday.

Can't believe I've just voted in this motherfucking thread. 5/10 for me.

Indeed. Lovely little dig at Simpson again.. Also, not available for Brighton apparently.

Apparently but i don't think its anywhere near as deep as the Cabaye-Debuchy bromance Is there anyone who isn't mates with Cabaye? LOSC's chairman?

What Injured player do you miss most ? ( Poll Added )

To me Cabaye is more important the chances he creates..... he ups the work rate of the team, we are much stronger defensively and more organised. We have been cut open at will without him which i have never seen happen when he was in the team. Everton away? regardless, Williamson is more dangerous as a goal threat for the opposition than he is likely to stop them scoring these days. Don't see how Cabaye coming back would improve our diabolical defending that much. Cabaye and Ben Arfa are huge misses, but having to rely on Williamson for so long has been our major downfall imho. -
Everton buying players

Nah, not having that. Bring Bigi on was a good decision in itself, but it should definitely have been for Shola, not Obertan, who was one of our bright spots and only minutes before had almost equalised. Bigi on for Shola with Cisse moving to the middle and Marveaux out wide on the right was where it was at.

Central defender is he? Left or right footed?

Would not bang. Sick of entourages. They want a January move, but the club would prefer him to see out his contract according to that article. Would be interesting to see what kind of deal we've offered (i.e. free transfer at the end of the season or a deal for a January move)..

Manchester United seem to be his most likely destination going off Google news? He any good? Haven't heard of him at all.

We are. I'm not sure how going all gung ho with 8 attacking minded outfield players will help resolve that situation? For one we can keep the ball better and put teams under pressure and instead of them having no fear and easily combine for counter attacks they will drop backwards because they will have the likes of Anita, Santon, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Debuchy, Marveaux and maybe Remy running at them.... It will help defensively too for that reason as our defense wont be under anywhere near as much pressure. I never saw us under this much pressure under Keegan or Sir Bobby, honestly the best form of defense is having a good offense. I don't disagree with that in principle, but there's a balance to be had surely?

Are you seriously suggesting missing some crucial players should not affect the others? Even Colo is not his formidable self lately with Williamson next to him. Coincidence?
