Which is what managers should be doing at the top level. You don't see the mistakes (as often) we make from clubs inside the top 10-12 in the division. I'd expect that Rafa would have bought players that would improve the system and ease us into a more attacking team. We all know what happened instead. Villa, Wolves, Brighton, Leeds (albeit look shit now), Palace, etc. all have better players than us.

Yup, Howe will make mistakes and I feel he didn't prepare us as well as we should have been prepared for the Leicester match. There were points available for the taking and overall, he got it wrong.

Howe gets next season for me, wherever that is, unless our owners perform a miracle and get a world class manager to come here, which I don't see happening until we have a better long term outlook. I trust Howe to come good, once he's given the resources, playing staff needed to execute his style of play.

They score goals, their problem is they leak them just as bad as we do. Leeds are better than they've shown recently and have a decent squad. Obviously lost some of the shine they had in their first season back, but they will stay up and get better next year. Biesla leaving might be a good change for both if he opts out in the summer.

Schar and Fernandez aren't that much better, tbh. We need an overhaul and I fully embrace Howe as the man to lead the change. One (league )way or another we'll get better under Howe.

I get ya. I suppose Howe is stubborn in his desire to play in a certain style/structure. Which I think is probably best for our overall improvement, sad thing is playing actual football is beyond our current squad.
