He’s not suitable for our football, like @JoeyBartoon mentioned, he’s better on the counter with room to operate.

Lost spectacularly the last two weeks on a single front with the most rest these players have had all season.

He could, but you’d have to think the results right now are not in favour of him getting that opportunity. The manner in which we lose is not what we’ve come to expect from him. Unfortunately, when teams underperform, the easiest solution is to sack the one managing it. He’s got the rest of the season to save his job, if he even wants it.

No worries! I’m still surprised he’s here, bit surreal, but he will do everything he can to advance the club commercially and will lean on Wilson for football decisions to guide his own. He will have respect for Eddie and his work ethic, knowledge and application, but the results need to be there obviously. Finishing lower table will impact our ability to attract commercial partners, hampering growth efforts. Interesting times and glad I don’t run this club.

Worked for an agency they hired (his directors at MLSE) and presented to him twice. He’s extremely measured, fair, but ruthless when it’s called for. I remember him being respectful and honest during the meetings I was a part of. I can’t see him accepting the current form and position we’re in given his lofty goals. I imagine he likes Eddie and his work ethic (Hopkinson was the workaholic type), but the results on display right now are an eye opener regardless of football pedigree.

Lads, there’s no way that happens. Love me some Eddie, but change is coming.

The biggest shame is he got us here, but that expectation is going to be his undoing. Shit all around and not how I would hope any of us wanted it to end.

I'd do this too and I don't have the disdain many have had for Gordon since he arrived. Overall, Gordon's contributions have helped us grow the club and we'll make a good sum for his sale. If we go full rebuild, not having Europe gives Howe (assuming he's still here) a year to bed in new players and hopefully adjust his systems to get us playing better consistently.
