It was the inverse Spurs match. I'm not sure what people were expecting? They had a very moving memorial before kickoff for a beloved member of the club, of course they're going to come out guns blazing. They did well to earn their, at best, half chances and put pressure on us until we unleashed Gordon on them.

I was with ya, always thought he was a decent lad, just a firecracker on the pitch. He showed glimpses of what we’re seeing now at Everton. Gordon and Richarlison were the only players worth watching when Rafa was there. DCL was good too, but the streak of injuries he’s had is so unlucky, but it could also be the shite physios at Everton. Clear as day Gordon’s fitness has improved immensely here.

Surprised there’s been no mention by the league or Sheffield United. That was bad, enough was thrown for Tripps to warn the lads and move them away. Had no sympathy for the pummelling we gave them after that.

These lot were worse than Milan for shirt pulling. Gordon’s was shredded by the half, neck about double in size.

The best part of his goal was the 5 yard flick that gave him room to step into the strike and swerve the ball around the defender and the keeper to the far corner. A few have said he lacks creativity, but that shows he has it and then some. He might lack a mazzy dribble down the wing, but he’s more about power and striding past defenders. I’d describe him as a two way power forward, with incredible pace and stamina, that can track his man, recover when need be. He looks an absolute bargain now.

@Maineblue you were right, not only with the goal, but his performance overall. The kid is alright! I’m so happy for Gordon, he’s taken his opportunity here and built on his raw talent. Loved him gan radge first half on that challenge on Longstaff resulting in the yellow. Trips had to tell him to back off.

Campbell was labeled “Judas” and got death threats, hatred to this day. It’s obviously fizzled since then, but there was nastiness from both sets of supporters.

The North London Derby was amazing when Adebayour and Sol Campbell crossed enemy lines. Proper spicy back then. Doubt we’ll ever see anything like that again.
