Expected more from him tonight but still find the amount of angst thrown at him incredibly depressing. Unfortunately it seemed like his head dropped but I have some sympathy cos he's putting a lot into a position where he's not a natural, and can't catch a break. Hopefully that goal is it, and he can build some confidence back up. There's a great player in there.

They were basically flawless after getting the lead. Cliche, but it was a champions' performance from them; went away to a good, intense side, in a hostile atmosphere; did enough defensively, waited for their chance, took it, then played with supreme confidence thereafter.

Pity, but we made a decent fist of it. Good performance prior to their first goal, and we lost control after that. As soon as they got their lead they engaged in S-tier game management. Looked extremely slick and every inch a Champions League favourite. Gordon sticks his chance away early on and it's a different game but that was the only really big one for me. Barnes' was tough; only place he could put it. Maddening that it was Rashford; he was useless before that.

Looking at it again, Kounde blocks the shot if Barnes goes back across. They dealt with the counter very well.

Good game, playing well. Wissa's injury standing out like a sore thumb, so fucking typical. Had higher hopes for Gordon but he missed a mega chance and has otherwise not been able to get into it.
