LW/ST Left-wing? Didn't know he could play there... He's an attacking midfielder-come striker, absolutely. Do Fenerbahce even play with wingers? If i remember correctly it was a 4-2-2-2 type formation that they played against us? Not doubting you, Scy - i mean i could be completely wrong... just wondering.
  3. Another intelligent and superbly reasoned post from Ohmelads. Agree wholeheartedly. Though, i'd probably prioritise a left-back over a centre-back. Everything else is spot on, though.

Didn't Emre play for Galatasaray? Bollocks rumour tbh. Pity, though.

    UEFA Cup Draw Thread

    Welcome! You're early.
  6. Know nowt about him. EDIT: Just read up on Cruz on Wikipedia. Been around quite a lot, was at Feyenoord before he moved to Italy with Bologna in 2000. Joined Inter in 2003 but was a fringe player until last season, where he finished to pscorer with 21 goals. Had a troublesome injury at the start of this season, but has come back in very good form, scoring 5 goals from 4 starts, including 3 goals in the Champions League and some key ones in the league aswell. Big, strong, experienced and has played with Martins aswell. Sounds like a decent option.
  7. Julio Cruz is that? BTW... it's in another thread but... Shaun Wright-Phillips alledgedy turns down West Ham: http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=440237&CPID=8&clid=21&lid=3&title=Hammers+no+go+for+SWP
  8. Would certainly like him on loan, just to re-iterate. And if it's between us and Villa, i'll be very optimistic. I pray that we don't sign him long-term, though. Here's the link, btw: http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=440237&CPID=8&clid=21&lid=3&title=Hammers+no+go+for+SWP
  9. What a load of shit. Name me ONE person on this board who genuinely thinks we are going to win the FA Cup. You won't find many, and those you do find, are either blind or just stupid.
  10. Why not now, is what i can't understand. He's clearly incapable of filling in if we ever get multiple injuries - so we should just promote him to that coach role, something that we had always intended to do so in the long term. If we ever have another major injury crisis, just loan someone, like many clubs have done so in the past.

  12. Not easy but we should beat them. Don't write Burnley off, mind. Good draw in many respects, really. Winnable home one for us, and some big guns could face elimination. And if they don't, Bolton and Portsmouth will both be welcome departures from the competition. Can't wait for the Brum replay now.

    Sunday gossip

diarra from chelsea, next makelele, have i spelled those both wrong, bah, its sunday If he's the next Makalele, why the F*** would Chelsea sell him? They're not gonna. Mourinho loves him. He is Makelele's replacement. Shame that, cos i would have loved him hear next season to replace Butt, who's legs will be going by then. Realistically speaking.
  14. It's not. www.fatherjackvocab.com
  15. It's "you". Illiterate moron.
  16. no you wouldn't get him permanently, but maybe on loan and no end of story means not on loan or permanently So "No permenent" and "Yes loan" are the same then? F***ing sick of the illeterate morons that cloud this place. Newcomers should be forced into writing an essay when they register, and the mods can then decide whether or not they are worthy of a place on the forum. Tbh. Who are you attacking there? Not you. And i was exaggerating. ;-)

  18. Providing we got everything else sorted first, i'd have him here on loan until the end of the season. Milner is developing into a cracking player, but he hasn't got the required quality this season, to get us a European place. That's my opinion. Shaun Wright-Phillips, on the other hand, does have that quality. Whether or not he'll "do a Duff" remains to be seen, but i reckon that with regular football he'd certainly return to his old self. Plus, he would be another body who can also play upfront and on either wing, and it gives Milner competition. Milner's regular football wouldn't suffer to a massive extent i don't think, he would still get plenty of games when you consider the injuries we have. I'd be tempted to have him on the left-wing ahead of Duff, tbh. I'm certainly caught in two minds over SWP, i think he has the required quality to get us into a European place this season, and i don't believe it will hinder Milner's regular football to a great extent. Plus, it'd only be a loan and we wouldn't have to waste money buying him. And still, we wouldn't be forced to play him - if Milner proves that he is better, then Milner would keep his place down the right. I think SWP joining would be good for the team, providing it was on a loan deal, buty if West Ham go and blow £10m on him then i won't be crying on my keyboard.
  19. Villa fans are pissing on the Mancs tbh.
  20. Ought to get Ole on for Larsson now tbh.
