    Nick Woltemade

Yeah that's exactly right. He was alarmingly shit on the ball, and I hope dearly that was an aberration, but it doesn't become that basketball match at the end without him there. Him and Murphy were the ideal subs.
  2. PSG is my number one; even pips the cup final, just. On the European stage and the unexpectedness of it versus the sheer level of performance/result. I didn't expect us to win, let alone be incredible and batter them in style. That said, it probably wouldn't take top spot without Schär's goal - which I think has to be my favourite ever. Favourite league game would be Spurs. To be three up in ten minutes was amazing; to be five up in twenty was unbelievable.
  3. The injury situation (an underrated burden on our season imo) makes it so difficult to rotate. The academy players obviously aren't ready to start or we'd have seen them by now, but hopefully they can get some minutes off the bench. You'd want to give anyone a rest really but it's impossible to rest a CB and it's impossible to rest any of the established attacking players. The only options are at keeper, full-back and CM. Surely Bruno has to be sat down for this one? Miley too tbh, he's so vital atm. Crucial to give Hall a rest too. Ramsdale Trippier - Thiaw - Botman - A.Murphy Ramsey - Tonali - Willock J.Murphy - Woltemade - Barnes
  4. Were it not for the way we'd won it the other night, I'd probably be going into this feeling apprehensive. Fixture congestion, rotated side, bogey team... but got to have confidence thanks to the vibes atm. Obviously keen to progress but Man City is the bigger game and if we phone it in a bit at the weekend in favour of a massive performance in midweek, I probably won't shed too many tears.
  5. Love watching the goal over and over just studying everyone's individual reactions each time. What a moment.
  6. I was honestly prepared to be quite satisfied with a draw. Leeds were probably worth a point, it was a mad and entertaining game, two teams going for it, point a piece - no complaints. Would've been a bit of a missed opportunity from our point of view but also not a terrible result against a decent side who are hard to beat. To get the win that late on was absolutely incredible and everyone involved deserves such huge credit. Particularly with Schär going off, who'd been massive for us all game until he went off.
  7. His ability to still lead a team who will run through brick walls for him is what is making the difference at the moment. We continue to look so unconvincing and chaotic in most areas, but the team has loads of quality and combining that with the desire to win - and give everything for the shirt - is getting us results. Adore the bloke and the players obviously do too.
  8. Weird parallels with two other 4-3s. Barnes scoring a brace, a la West Ham. And a very similar strike for the winner to Gayle's vs Norwich.
  9. I had to watch with sound off so I could pretend I was watching Traitors at the same time. Fuuuuck me that commentator. Shut up, man. Unreal otherwise like.
  10. We were so flawed tonight but fuck me the guts and the desperation to win. Fair fucking play, lads.
  11. Corner. Please let it be the whistle afterwards whatever happens
  12. Free-kick in their half. Please let it be the whistle afterwards whatever happens
  13. Very disappointed with Wissa tonight, like. Got to get more from these strikers.
  14. Same old story. Miss chances, fail to keep possession.
