I've no beef with how he managed that game in isolation. Our issues are more systemic, and the reason why that was so uncomfortable, is because we kept missing huge chances to put the game to bed. As for the lack of subs, the game settled just at the point everyone was crying out for a change. Maybe it was fortunate because we were playing a poor opponent, maybe there wasn't a useful change to be made at that point. Either way, it turned out fine. Credit to him for having us go all guns blazing from the first whistle and winning the game in the first seven minutes. The Gordon choice in particular was totally justified, likewise Joelinton who was our motm. Big result and hopefully a turning point on the road.

Good win, just about deserved imo despite letting them have the initiative for a significant period of that second half. As always our problems stemmed from not converting the chances to put us out of sight. We play with fear a lot of the time and that contributes to our inability to control games.

As @timeEd32 says, it's not a tactical choice, it's just the total inability to put our foot on the ball and kill the game. We surrender possession easily and it forces us back.

Pleased to have the lead but a stressful watch thereafter, such is this season. No control but look dangerous. Two more absolutely glorious chances wasted (Barnes and Wissa) to pile the pressure on if there's still only one in it by 80 mins.
