All your posts are the same.
  2. Rodgers close to getting a goal in my book. Good performance at Chelsea.

Does anyone else find it incredible that Pards doesn't do any offensive coaching?

All along the 442 was for one reason, it started with protecting the fullbacks and to have a rigid structure when we don't have the ball. It comes from analysing too much prozone and how teams concede form breakaways (when players are out of positon or up the pitch).
  5. Chelsea are this years Liverpool.

This is where the tagetting players primarily for thier value rather than what we need them for falls down. Cabaye is the closest thing we have to an allround midfielder and to replace him with similar would I imagine cost a packet. If we carry on like this and he's shackled to the firefighting role I have a feeling he'll be off. There is so much more to his game.

In the uber competitive environment of the PL windows of oppurtunity come along rarely and everybody at the club is tuned into 'the vibe' of how a side is doing. The remarkable 5th place finish had a massive momentum to it and we failed to capitalise and build on that. This will be writ large on the minds of everyone at the club especially the best players. That's where the spirit has gone. alternatively, we could have carried on the momentum by playing the way we did at our best last season, even if we couldn't carry it on at least try to copy what it was we were doing well, especially when it becomes obvious that the alternative doesn't work. i'm sure the players know the way the clubs transfer policy works and we will bring in what we can. the most annoying thing for me is that the biggest signing we made seemed perfect to fit in to what we were doing well only for us to go against it all. Pardew seems to prefer one particular way that much is clear. He's been as you say counter intuitive all this season. I can only think he's too worried about making Ba unhappy again or futher his exteneded family, agent, friends, hangers on and half of the African continent. He's trying to hard to please everyone (the sign of a weak manager) AND within that prison win games. I certainly don't envy him.

I agree we sit too much and too deep. That front 3 is the best in the league outside the top 4. On the other hand he has got the best out of Hatem when even that looked shaky for a spell last year.

Oi Dekka well give im an eight year deals cause those cahnts on N.O. cahrnt be twusted yeah? Llambias pretty much directly gave it as a reason for the contract. Theyre fully aware certain sections will kneejerk after a bad run, thats exactly whats happening to some. It was a PR stunt. If the team are in any relegation danger at x-mas or if he (Pards) steps out of line with reg to the board or stops sucking Ashleys cock he'll be out in 5min. Well theyve certainly increased his payout for that PR stunt. It also wont take us being near that for fans to become discontent obviously. Have they?

They will keep him unless there is any kind of real crisis from the player side or the league table. For them he is easy to work with and doesn't play up or not follow the company line. Even people who are hard on him on here recognise that he has plenty of positive characteristics...Just playing football that is easy on the eye or makes any kind of sense isn't one of them. What I do like about him is that he's made the team more solid and he's done this basically with a side that is short of quality at the back.

People just want to see a bit more football and are frustrated. There is always a backlash after a bad performance, it calms down after a few days. If we lose to Swansea tho....

Moyes did go through an ultra conservative period but much of that was due to the failings in his team imo.

Moyes is imo in a different class to Pardew. One of the best in this league. He's changed his style a couple of times to suit the personnel he has to call on. I rate him only behind 3/4 other in this league.

If you put me in amongst that 3 or 4 you would be wrong. If he takes us to where the mackems are currently sitting then I'll change my mind. If he persists with the shit he's currently serving up for another month or so and results are being repeated then once again, I'll change my mind. If he appears to lose the dressing room then he can go. If we have our better players leaving because they aren't prepared to play his style of football, he can go. If he changes things and results and performances pick up again like they did last season and we’re here again in 12 months going through the same crap then I will want him to go. His 8 year contract will not keep him here as he'll get no more than Keegan got when he walked, I can’t see any way that he'll leave here any time soon and get paid for the remainder of his contract. If we're failing he'll get the bullet because Llambias and Ashley will not stand by and watch us go down, not that I think we will, before anybody claims otherwise. At the minute I live in hope that he'll finally see that he's wrong and changes the way we’re playing. I've seen nothing in his entire career as a manager to think he has it in him to change in a meaningful way. I think he has his personal preferances regarding style and that will always be his default position. There have been periods when we have played decent football, but the overall curve doesn't seem to be up, instead we are falling back. Of course he isn't entirely to blame as he's dealing with a very tight financial structure that we all see before us. But if he doesn't call for more backing in the transfer market he is letting us down and more importantly himself. It's taken time, but I think the majority now see through his massaging post match rigmarole. I haven't given up on him entirely however as he clearly quite a tough character and sufficently pragmatic to entertain other options as above all he likes to win games. Him being a percentage man might yet save him again. Time will tell. The romantic in me wants him gone, but the realist in me knows that football has changed.
  21. Agreed. I personally think the lack of investment has had a bigger pschological impact on the players than we realise. The better ones are surely wondering about their future.
  22. He's running out of press conference fodder since the "Hatem's a naughty boy" days. Lately it's been europe is tiring...But today he said that wasn't so..This week europe hasn't been tiring...This week it was if we'd scored a goal we probably would have won... All with a straight face and a hint of a smile.
