  1. Cause the artificially want more goals and mistakes?
  2. This is the short list of those available for English naturalisation. England Eligible For Naturalisation *Belgium - Steed Malbranque *France - Jeremie Aliadiere, Gael Clichy, Sylvain Distin, Mathieu Flamini, Steed Malbranque, Franck Queudrue *Germany - Moritz Volz *Guadeloupe - Sylvain Distin *Italy - Carlo Cudicini *Spain - Manuel Almunia, Mikael Arteta Take Cudicini he's been here for yonks and I don't think he's played for Italy at any level.
  3. Para keeper fluffed coming for it Italy get lucky. Tiny keepers always no good.
  4. Fifa should just leave it to me like. Seriously though, all jokes aside, are you serious that the nationality should be the father's side only, and not the mother's? Not really silly. But say for instance you want to live in France all your life and you get ciitizenship and you moved to France when you were 3 or something then France should be an option. Podolski moved to Germany when he was two and identifies himself as German and you don't want him playing for Germany, but now you say it's alright? He clearly doesn't hence the crying when he scores against Poland and the not singing of the German national anthem. My point of contact with this issue is that wherever possible and notwithstanding extreme circumstances the player should play for the country he's born in or failing that the country both his or one of his parents are from or the country that gives him his first passport. I would like national identities wherever possible preserved as part of the spirit of international football. I don't really think that is an extreme position. IMO the romanticism of internation sport goes hand in hand with identity. I think the spirit of the game will be devalued if there is a free for all for the good players on where they may play, much in the way that money and greed has all but destroyed the spectacle of the PL. Actually are Norway in the EU? We're not, thank fuck for that. In general we don't have that much difference of opinion on this, we agree on most part on everything bar early neutralisation. I too think International teams should be International teams, and that people should play for the country they love the most and identify with rather than the one with the biggest opportunities. But a rule that wouldn't let people like Klose play for Germany would not be beneficial in the sense that it punishes the ones that actually wants to bleed for a country because there's a few fuckers here and there that are International glory hunters. The players should have the right to choose, but you can't control whether they choose based on feelings or opportunity. It's players like Cacau that are the problem, not people like Klose/Podolski. I don't think we are that far apart. Just was really unhappy at being called racist. I do apologize for that. I couldn't think of the equal of the Norwegian word I was thinking of, which is in no way offensive, and being without sleep for a while I was very irritable. No worries. Thinking about it if Parky Jnr gets good at tennis I'll be whipping her back to Eng even though she was born in Germany.

  6. They moved there for footballing reasons at a "late" age, I don't see how they'd identify themselves as English and don't think they should represent England. See you're differentiating now. After 5 years according to fifa then can play for Eng if they want.

  8. Where do you lot stand on the Arsenal youth team most will have been in England 5 years by the time they are 21? 90% of them are from all over the world.

  10. Could have played for Germany.
  11. Spain or England. I think the father counts more in this instance than where you happen to live, but I can see this is a tricky one. What the f***? How does the father count more than the mother? They both made the kid? Women don't care about football. Yeah best leave women out of this. Probably talk him into playing for France so she can live in Paris etc... I'm assuming he has a British passport.
  12. Spain or England. I think the father counts more in this instance than where you happen to live, but I can see this is a tricky one. What the fuck? How does the father count more than the mother? They both made the kid? Where does the sperm come from?

  14. All their best players are defensive midfielders and then Eto'o. The problem is Eto'o is the type of striker who needs service to be effective. Cameroon not only lack creative central midfielders, but they also have no real wingers either. Therefore, although a lot of their players are recognisable they are actually a terribly balanced team, who are terribly deficient in key areas. Good outline.
  15. British passport, German father, English mother...Born in Germany. Plays for Germany or England.
  16. Alright let's stop fucking about and register/coerce/smooth talk half the academies of Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal and get them registered for England elligible for the national side by the time they are 21. Fair enough? Right now some of the bigger club academies in the PL have a wealth of foreign born talent. You can bet your arse that;s what the Germans are doing.
  17. But Klose grew up as a German Pole and it was his choice to play for Germany. What you're suggesting is that because he was born in Poland he should be forced to play for them. I don't agree with that. As someone said earlier, if I had been born in a foreign country due to parents job, or holiday, and then spent 16 years of my life growing up in England with the view for playing for England ruined due to some Asinine ruling saying I have to play for Austria or someone, I'd be gutted. If you have a duel nationality you should have the choice to play for Country A, B or C. Unless you're suggesting that the German Government and FA have conspired to bribe multinationals to choose Germany over another Nation, in which case I'd like to see some proof. Let's look at it the other way I agree that Ibra should play for Sweden as he was born there, the fact that his parent are from Bosnia shouldn't matter. That's the other side of the coin. But at the same time he might be fiercely proud of his Bosnian heritage and if he should have the option to play for them. Again it falls into the 'If I was born in another Country do to Family being stationed there through work (RAF which nearly happened)' I'd be gutted I couldn't play for England despite being raised as English with an English family in a Foreign country. See: Owen Hargreaves. "Josef Klose does not want to be regarded as Polish, declaring himself as Silesian and European, and stating that the success of his son is due to himself and German clubs." So, where does that leave the smaller European countries as nearly all of them have people wanting to get out and go live in richer countries like Germany? Is it right that richer countries will just attract with money and facilities all the best players from Europe? Surely you can see the smaller European countries need protecting otherwise what is the point of national sides? Everyone has the right within Europe to see pastures new in a different part of the Europe. If they believe Country 'X' is more prosperus to their family, you cannot hold that against their children in the future when it comes to International Deceleration. Freedom of movement as a cultural and economic phenomena I agree with and is a good thing, but it will fuck up the national identitiy that comes with international football, I think common sense should prevail.

See: Owen Hargreaves. Then IMO it comes down to the parentage. But some rules need to be put down to stop player drain to rich countries, which effectively is starting to dilute the idea of international football and like all things it will probably get worse.

  21. I'm not at all happy about being called a racist, that was fine last night and Kaizero was twisting it and putting up black players and making jokes about it and insinuating I was racist. I tell you what that is more than insulting. ho hum
