  1. Why? You'd probably have thought it was brilliant singing Happy Birthday to KK while 3-0 up against Sunderland. Possibly, but it wasn't even his birthday I'd understand if it had been last week or something, but it was only two days ago. Just noticed Kenny's gone 4-1 up. I think that's fair given the results so far compared to the expectations when he was given the job (I mean on here, not on RAWK). And tonking ManU is worth a point for anyone under almost any circumstances. I'm really looking forward to seeing Carroll up there with Suarez. Right now, bringing in just Suarez for Torres is looking like a cracking bit of business given their respective performances so far, and if your man lives up to his billing, I'll be demanding another point or two for Dalglish

  3. Fuck off wacko. Trouncing ManU, putting a big dent in their title push, and sending Fergie apoplectic has got to be worth a goal. a man u without ferdinand and vidic, nah That might change the scale of the achievement, but not the result, which is what counts.

  5. Come on Parky, number 4 for Dalglish
  6. It's gone very tits-up in the league for them, and they've been playing like shit recently. I saw the Schalke game, and Bayern were terrible. As David28 said, Robben's not on his game, but ultimately they shouldn't be relying on one player. They are out of the CL places at the moment (which is unacceptable for Bayern), and they might not even make it into Europe at all, which is absolutely unthinkable for them. The Bayern management is not overly patient with managers. They spend significantly more than any other Bundesliga club and expect to be competitive every season.
  7. YEEEEEESSS!!! Brilliant result, and Fergie's massive strop is the icing on the cake I really hope that does for their season. Come on Arsenal!
  8. Man U bound? Apparently Man U made a formal approach to buy him on Tuesday. Previously, he was expected to go to Bayern.
  9. it's crap if you compare it with his previous spell at Liverpool and Newcastle where he took over successful teams and guided them slowly downwards after starting well with teams other managers had built. Dalglish's Liverpool were a fantastic team. In fact a lot of Liverpool supporters claim he gave them their greatest ever team. That was with the players he bought as well. They were quality but it does help when you inherit one of the best squads in Europe from Fagan (and Paisley). It's a nice foundation to build on. He did build his own side though...the side he assembled for the 87-88 season was probably the best club side I've seen.Superb to watch too.Though I suppose it was easy to go after the likes of Pedro and Barnes. You've got to keep it going but taking over a squad like that with so many good players already at the club makes it much easier. It's too easy to keep most of the squad there and add (obvious) good players to it. It's not a miracle he's performed. He's used his common sense and eyes. It doesn't deserve that much praise tbh. Yes and no. You can't really credit him with visionary signings, but managers taking over already excellent sides are judged by different criteria than those taking over mediocre teams. Indeed, they require rather different skills. I'd equate Kenny's first managerial spell with that of Guardiola's current reign at Barcelona. Both took already great sides to even greater heights, and while they can never claim to have built that side, they stand apart from the litany of managers who have taken such sides and ruined them. I think he bought around half of that side...Houghton,Barnes,Beardsley and Aldridge certainly were his signings. I'm pretty sure he did, but it was still a great side when he started.

  11. Surely he's waiting for the likes of Sol Campbell to be available on a free in the summer? Maybe he'll bring back Sami Hyypia while he's at it... Rafa sold Hyypia a good 2 years too early. He didn't want to; Hyypia wasn't happy on the bench as backup to Agger. Everyone wanted him to stay, but he quite rightly thought he had a few more seasons of regular games in him.
  12. Or rather he's been forbidden for suing in a Texan court where a personal friend of his is on the bench. That the case has to be heard on this side of the pond is a good thing in any case: it basically boils down to where you draw the line between the chairman's responsibility to the club and to the owner. Broughton wasn't happy selling the club to another bunch of shysters who'd load it up with debt, while Hicks naturally thought it was a cracking idea.
  13. That's the crux of it for me. The same players who could barely even be bothered to break a sweat are now running through walls for Kenny. It's fucking sickening and they've cheated Hodgson out of his job. They've also cheated their own fans but they're too fucking thick to even realise it. It pissed me off mightily to see the players demonstratively not giving a fuck on the pitch, but now I'm glad they did because it got him out the door before he could do any more damage. Hodgson never had the players or fans behind him because of the Conference football he wanted to play. He brought in the likes of Konchesky and Poulsen, FFS, and wanted to play the long ball with Torres
  14. You'd be lucky to manage that. You'd need St Pauli playing Friday evening, Dortmund Saturday afternoon and Bayern on Sunday. Then you'd only have to drive about 1000km. It'd be a cracking weekend, though. A lot of the Bundesliga atmosphere is, IMO, down to standing. Watching from the terraces is 10x better than from a seat.
  15. Well, if the side played more interesting football, it wouldn't be an issue.
  16. Please explain. Sounds good

    José Mourinho

Can see him fancying the challenge of getting Liverpool back to the success of the 70s/80s Me too, but I think he'd want to be assured of having the authority and resources to have a proper crack at it. Even if Citeh and Chelsea are prevented from continuing their money pit strategies by UEFA, we'll remain a long way behind ManU and Arsenal in revenues unless we get that new stadium built. Not sure if that would appeal to Mourinho.

I thought everyone had him pegged as Fergie's successor. I guess that depends on when Fergie finally retires, though. Couldn't see him coming to us while Comolli's there, though Mourinho likes the LFC fans and the atmosphere.
  19. Just seen this. What a pleb. Eh? Why does that make him a pleb? Good on him. It was comical, but rather daft. Against the background of the FA being a bunch of dicks, yes it was. Still, good on him.

  21. Doesn't surprise me. RAWK has gone absolutely Kenny krazy.
  22. Remember the sensible and concise reaction from the NUFC fans around SJP on Sky Sports News when we brought back KK/When Shearer was appointed/when we sacked KK? Exactly why its frightening. Look how that worked out.... I know, the point I was making is that fans are overly emotional about club heroes, it's what football is about. I was delighted when KK came back and lost all sense of logical thinking, it's what makes sport great. We really are not in a position to point fingers & mock other supporters when we have been in the exact position and were just as delirious as Liverpool fans are now. This is why its easier to mock though, we've been through that hell and know it doesn't work. We should by sympathetic maybe, but the world don't work like that A big difference is that we don't have Ashley in charge.
  23. What freaked me out a bit was that NO was cacking out and RAWK was running smooth as butter while the Dalglish thing was unfolding.
  24. justice for the Ninety-sinks FYP I'm telling the LFC Supporters Texas Chapter on you. They'll be round right after the Gillett lynching.
