Like to see Forest do well as my mate supports them and he's a good lad.

1:03 when he takes that drilled pass and flicks it through to Cabaye, there's not another player in our squad who could or would play that pass

Manchester United vs Newcastle United - Saturday 26th November @ 3pm
Dr Venkman replied to a topic in Football
we'll get a draw i reckon, thought for weeks we had an outside chance of getting one with Tiote back, now that Ben Arfa looks sharper, Cabaye and Obertan are back I think we'll do it. -
He'll save it himself pretty soon Ian
-
Hahahaha how many times did they just say Cavani's name!?
-
Generous again, the same challenge on a player without a weakness in that area wouldnt be as likely to result in 3 months out at least.

Good post. Is Leon Best performing well, and contributing to team play effectively? Without doubt. Can he take us as far as Ben Arfa if we set the team up to play to the strengths of each? Not in a million years.
-
It's harsh to say that was his most important contribution, he made a great chance for Ba and an even better one for himself and was within a whisker of scoring. I'd say his performance against City is proof that he can do it against anyone and will get better with more games.

Seems the total opposite to me, we've gradually improved as a team and I can't remember a Newcastle side working this hard collectively. Again, I just can't agree with that. He seems a very positive man and calls it as it is. Admitted he got it wrong against QPR this season and Stoke and Everton last season. Always praises the players, very rare that he blames someone else, even against Blackburn in the cup, he stopped short of saying we lost because of the ref, like Warnock, AVB or Fergie would. Instead, he just alluded to some poor decisions and the 'breaks' which is a favourite of his, along with f***ing SUPERB Might have jumped the gun, but I think he's won me over! Still room for improvement, but last season and this he's been far better than I originally expected. He's probably changed over time. He admitted himself in one interview he got things wrong in the past and has changed parts of his attitude etc. In his time with us you can hardly fault him. I have heard him say that, i also heard a good point raised on the guardian football podcast when I used to listen to it, that Pardew has that look of determination back in his eye that he had at West Ham. He knows this is his big chance and he's been humble (yet confident) enough to know that he needs to be at 100% all of the time to make it work and that involves self evaluation. That's in contrast to the likes of Souness and Allardyce who took the big job and thought 'right, i'm here on merit, just need to follow the formula' rather than trying to improve themselves. You can't be involved with a group of players on a day to basis and ask them to keep their standards up and improve if you're not committed to doing it yourself.

Especially after beating the mackems away, buy the man a pint ffs.

I've missed him since he's been injured and that speaks volumes on a personal level, I think he's contributed a lot to our style of attack, albeit inconsistently, much like HBA's brief cameos.
-
Agree, I'm a massive Best fan but against Man Utd I would let HBA continue in the team, see what he can produce. Against Chelsea I'm not sure, their defence can be vulnerable to direct play so Best might play a part. I think HBA's quick feet and ability to thread a pass in behind them would do just as much damage to Chelsea, if not more. If Mikel drops deep to mark him then we're onto a winner because 1) he won't be able to handle him, 2) it'll free up more space for Cabaye to come forward
-
exactly. i can tell you i saw his face when Sammy was brought on on the wing against Everton and he looked very disappointed, all we have to go on is Pardew's said he doesn't see him as a winger, to suggest that means HBA has outright said 'I'm not playing there' is just looking for problems.
-
Suggesting HBA doesnt want to play out wide is just more negative wind up bollocks based on Pardew saying he wont play him there, and nothing more.
-
That's a valiant attempt Elliotman, but he's simply not interested in debate. He avoided the thread for days after a very good performance by HBA and now he's come back to get some more attention. The fact that he keeps referring to fanboys and has resorted to posting pictures of monkeys illustrating the 'fanboys' tells you all you need to know. Everyone either get him on ignore or just don't respond to his shite and we can get back to some real talk.
-
And Herd was totally anonymous
-
No respect at all for Adam Johnson, fantastic player happy to play twice a month.
-
Will ignore ever work on Tapatalk?
-
Expect media to be full of praise for Spurs, they beat what was infront of them and moved it quickly but were also quite wasteful at times. That's one of the worst away performances I've seen in ages, as bad as West Ham at St James' last season.
-
Has every spurs corner been short?
-
"they don't seem to have the energy.......or the ball"
-
i think he is Zog still on the bench, what's all that about?
-
Is McLeish actually trying to hold onto the 2 goal defeat?
