from wiki: Adrian often takes controversial positions in discussions, which are usually disagreed with by listeners and co-presenters, sometimes resulting in a heated argument. This can become quite surreal on a slow news day when Durham will spend a whole hour trying to argue that white is black. Many suspect this is simply to wind up the audience, so that more people will phone in to the show and boost listening figures over rival BBC Five Live. One of his more bizarre suggestions is that he could do a better job than the current England manager, since, in his view, the only attribute an England manager needs is passion. Furthermore, Durham has a habit of responding to those who have contradicting views to his own in a sarcastic and condescending response. He has recently gone on record calling Alan Shearer "a bottler" and accused Thierry Henry of going missing in big games. His opinions are also very fluid. This fluidity allows him to air apparently contradictory statements. On one such occasion, he spent an entire show explaining why he wanted Chelsea to be beaten by FC Barcelona, but two weeks later revealed he would ask Chelsea manager José Mourinho to manage England at the World Cup. He regularly reminds listeners he's first and foremost an England fan, secondly he's a fan of a team who plays proper football (i.e. a team that plays with flair) regardless whether its an English club playing in a European Cup. Despite (or perhaps because of) all the criticisms Durham remains the first choice presenter for the radio station talkSPORT having been giving all the prime slots during the recent 2006 FIFA World Cup.

That is one of the saddest, most pathetically childish things I have ever seen on the internet. Congratulations FP.

NO, that's not my point. There is one advantage for scouting a single player from the stadium and that is (as said before), that you can follow him like a hawk. BUT you'd always need the tapes as well to watch things again. To Pause, to rewind, replay etc. But for scouting opponent teams I DO think that you can scout them without ever going to their match physically. You just need the tapes to get 99% of all vital data. If you go to a stadium instead of the tape, you'll have maybe 30% of all data. If you do it together, you might end up with 99,5% haha, you would buy a player without actually going to watch him, says it all really

Where can you -ANALYZE- the match the best? you can -ANALYZE- the match best in the stadium in my opinion
-
Fine. I admit my poll question could have been better. I don't want to know what's the best place to WATCH football, but the best place to ANALYZE football. So I'm not talking about atmosphere etc. Poll question altered. Votes Reset. Reset the poll because you didn't like the result. Diddums.

i know this one is real

thats what i was thinking. jokers

blueno.gif totally disagree, you see players not getting back, being lazy etc, you can form a better view of a player overall

Exactly. The experience is better in the stadium, but the better view one gets on TV. Are you thick as F*** or something? I've already told you you are wrong and have proven it. This is not about whether people who go to games can judge players better or not. Its about your own judgement at the game or your own judgement sitting at home watching TV. When assessing an individuals performance, all things being equal (ie the same person does the observing) there is no substitute for watching the player at the ground. Now F*** off. So your judgement is worst when you see in replay from 100 different angles that the ball didn't actually cross the line, or the defender didn't actually tackle the striker but the striker dived, or that was NOT an offside decision... You can see all that again in slow motion with zoomed in multi angled camera while you are standing 1000 fucking kilometers in the stand right That's why those fucking football experts have been crying out loud for video technology to be introduced to referees so as to make it easier FOR THEM TO JUDGE, ANALYSE AND MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS... YOU FUCK OFF YOU IDIOT...

he is supposed to be class, watched a prograame the other day which featured N'Zog n Diarra's moves to England
