  1. Smells a bit dodgy to me. We've probably been pushing the £25m rumours all window and now, at this late stage, we've stuck out a £14m rumour to drum up interest and make him appear affordable in the hope of generating a last-minute auction.

    Sunderland

FWIW the last time Poyet was in a final he was outwitted by Ian Holloway.
  3. Aye. Just backed them before. They're gonna nick this, the horrendous thundercunts.
  4. Great start to the thread Just thinking the same. Watch those hideous creatures from the darkside win this.

    Papiss Cissé

He's scored goals throughout his career. You don't have the run of form he did when he first joined without having proven ability and quality. I think his confidence is shot and he needs games/a system built around him. I think he'll score goals throughout his career in the right environment/with the right coach.

I do think he has an interest in maintaining a reasonably competitive squad in the 8th~10th range through minimal investment so he maximizes positive exposure for his brand (better image, more TV games) and doesn't risk future relegation. Where we are about now is the "sweet spot" where Ashley would like us to be. Exactly right. Low maintenance, profitable and potentially attractive to a buyer enabling a healthy profit upon completion of sale.
  7. It'll be someone else next. I am absolutely 100% convinced AP is on a bonus for % profit on transfers. I really would love to know where this daft notion came from apart from ridiculous paranoia Here's where it comes from................ AP is pretty much the worst paid manager in the top tier. MA pays all of his key staff bonuses based on performance in every single one of his businesses. It has been widely reported that MA has given AP an 'incentives' based contract - Llambias said so when he was in charge in his programme notes. Given that we know the top 4 is a pipe dream and unrealistic the next best thing is Europa league which we know the club don't want. So what is AP's target? Finish as close to, but not in, the Europa League every year and he'll get what? A sports direct mug? If MA's incentive is to tick the business over in as positive a financial state as humanly possible to attract a buyer at a premium, AP is absolutely vital in that. Which other managers would accept their best players being sold from under them and be completely complicit in it? What is the incentive for AP? Can only be financial. Call that paranoia if you wish. I'll call it reality. It's utter bunkum. We know quite a bit about Pardew and all the staff and players bonus schemes. There is absolutely sod all evidence for what you're suggesting. Tell me what you know about Pardew and the staff's bonus schemes.........
  8. We wont get Cabella in first, and the Montpellier bosses would be falling over themselves to fuck us over. Could be fun. Won't matter. We'd still walk away from any deal not on our terms. 16th place finish would do NUFC, so why should they give a fuck?

I'll call it reality. he has nothing at all to do with transfers so why in gods name would Ashley pay him for one? and as for the bold, anyone not in the champions league, its not nice I don't like it but the gap between the haves and the have nots is huge and only getting bigger. Of course he's got something to do with transfers.............he's the daft cunt telling the press how 'readily available' they are. We are not a 'have not' we are a 'choose not to have' and there's a world of difference. Get that right.

  11. Start playing well, a few mom displays and he'll be the next one off. It's a never ending cycle of desperation. The world keeps spinning, we keep staying up and achieving the sum total of fuck all. Just so long as nobody complains too loudly or gets too attached to our players. We're not an oil nation you know. Our billionaire owner isn't able to compete with the rest. What's the goal? Ran on a budget for the benefit of one man untils he gets an offer too good to refuse. In the meantime, sit down, shut up and keep spending your hard earned cash. And don't you dare to dream.

Who would you most liken him to in the Premier League at the minute?

Is this fucker any good then or what?
  15. From an Ashley and AP perspective, now is the preferred time to flog him. Cash in, huge profit. He was always looking to go as he's actually got some ambition and we are safe. Sell now, try to replace but whatever happens, we've made big profit and AP has got 7 months to get the midfield balance right again. Everyone wins from their perspective.
  16. This could be a story we've instigated to start a bidding war.
  17. 1. Oriol Romeu 2. Victor Moses 3. Romelu Lukaku 4. Marko Marin 5. Lucas Piazón 6. Ryan Bertrand 7. Patrick van Aanholt 8. Thibaut Courtois 9. Christian Atsu 10. Wallace 11. Bertrand Traoré 12. Nathaniel Chalobah 13. Kenneth Omeruo 14. Sam Walker 15. Todd Kane 16. Cristián Cuevas 17. Ulises Dávila 18. Thorgan Hazard 19. George Saville 20. Milan Lalkovič 21. Patrick Bamford 22. Jhon Pírez 23. Stipe Perica Remember when we had Paddy Van Arnholt. Did a decent job I thought. He can't have long left on his contract now.
  18. Didn't really pay much attention to him at the Mackems, was he any good for them?
  19. Surprised Mike hasn't told their board to make them a bonus offer based upon winning this year's SPL. 200% bonus.
  20. Probably has an army of advisors who told her it was likely to increase in value?
  21. Gone for Arsenal 3-2, Villa 3-2 and Arsenal 3-1 tonight.
  22. Why is Gerrard telling the ref who to book? Cunt chops.
