I'm convinced they'd have been in for Gordon if he was staying in the PL. I don't see Tino moving the needle for them at all tbh. Particularly given that they're going for progress next year. He's not someone who improves a CL finalist to a CL winner imho.

There's not a corner of the globe I wouldn't travel from to make sure I'd be there for any KK SJP return. My hero. Mr Newcastle United. The man who started it all for me... There will never be another.

Someone's agent is hard at work....
-
Some career.

Osula for individual brilliance but the other one I loved was Woltemade’s dink over Pickford. A goal that’ll live long in the memory imho.
-
Aye. He’d actually be a perfect fit for them tramps tbh.
-
Aye - some of the worst crosses a CL final has ever seen, all night too . Thankfully the right outcome. Cannot stand that Lego headed prick prancing up and down the touchline without repercussion every single game.

I think he’ll be excellent for you and predict over time the transfer fee will begin to look very good value. He’ll do bombs in La Liga. Stand out qualities are he’s a pressing machine, very quick, direct and can play two positions well. Negatives, not that this will matter to you guys, but he’s all about number 1. He’ll only do what suits him, when it suits him and if it’s in his own best interest. There’s nowhere ‘up’ from Barca though so he’ll no doubt perform for you 90% of the time and you’ll like him. Gets a slightly unfair rap from some folks but there’s a reason he’s going to one of the best clubs in the world imho.

Aye - him delivering crosses from the left and Elanga from the right would have me terrified tbh. We'd need to issue complimentary crash helmets for every cunt in the lower two tiers of the Milburn and East Stand.
-
The lad can deliver a ball but half the time it just looks like he puts his head down and whips in a ball to me. Doesn't seem all that thought through...
-
This is where I’m at tbh. We’re probably leaving £10m on the table here but it’s done quickly, it’s clean and everyone keeps their dignity. FWIW, I reckon he’ll be excellent over there and it’s a great move for him.
-
I still expect him to go to Liverpool tbh. They need wingers and he offers cover for Ekitike for next season without them having to buy another striker. Two birds. One stone. Given the circumstances (25, full england international, 4 years of his deal left, best years ahead of him and can play two positions very well) I'd be gutted with anything less than £80m. Or, using the world reknowned Elanga scale, £300m+add ons.

Any excitement over the ‘project’ would be completely and utterly gone for me if he went tbh.
-
Would be fucking horrific losing him. By far and away our most important player.
-
I’ve never taken them seriously since they let Bruce get away with murder because he was Caulkin and Shearers mate tbh.
-
At least they’ve got Wheezer Payne though….
-
In fairness, we had no bastard in the box for the first 90% of the season .
-
Agreed on both points but, again, I think there are probably much bigger issues than Joelinton to sort this summer. We're really paying the price for; - being far too passive in previous windows to nudge the squad along and - last summer's spend and choices. In an ideal world, we'd have shifted big joe already or he'd be packing his house up now the seasons done but I just don't see that happening this year.

Aye - he's 23 but 24 next month. Rogers was 21 was he moved to Villa. The other lads younger again (both 19 i think). His contract expires in June 2027 I think so be interesting to see the fee....
-
As has been said previously with Barnes, if he's not scoring, he offers very little. Commercially, I'd be getting shot of him all day long for a sensible offer but do take the point that there's plenty of far bigger issues in this squad at the moment.
-
Aye, I've thought for a long time it needs to be a minimum of 9 in depending on outgoings tbh. Massive job for Wilson. In a WC year.

There's been a good few players come up from that league and do well over the last few years tbf. Alex Scott, Morgan Rogers and Wharton would all start for us every week for example. I presume, if we are actually in for him, we'd be expecting Sandro to go, Ramsay/Miley to step up and Hackney to be in and around the starting spots over the course of the season... Beyond Bruno, if Tonali does go, we're looking light imho across the middle; - Joelinton - as much as I love him, has been poor at times this season and is starting to pick up injuries on the regular. - Ramsay - is yet to grab a game by the scruff of the neck whilst otherwise looking neat and tidy in possession. Also has a history of injuries. - Miley - will likely have to cover at RB at times next season and now has a sizable injury to recover from. - Willock - Will hopefully leave. It's a good job we won't have europe next season because that looks a very light midfield in terms of depth, quality and character imho AND it's not even close to being our number 1 problem area with GK, wingers, strikers and full backs arguably all ahead of it...If anything, it just shows the sheer scale of the job Ross Wilson has on his hands.

Mate who's a Boro fan reckons he's head and shoulders above anything else in that league.

No surprise that sap has graded it generously.
