I think people need to look at the reasons for his behaviour. His reaction may be far more palatable if you consider what/who he's been telling with since Jan.

I think posters like Minhosa can't help coming to boards like this to hear another side to the argument then argue (badly) with it. The Manager has very little do with contract issues??? Can you imagine Ferguson leaving the new Valencia contract to his board and letting them get away with completly fucking it up to the point the player gets fucked off for nowt? I hardly think so. He'd be doing what any decent manager with a tiny degree of influence would do and saying 'I want him, he's part of my plans - get him a new contract sorted'. Patsy Pardew has the same amount of influence as the fucking tea lady man. The discipline issues would never have come about if the club management were honest from day one in respect of the £35m (both Enrique and Barton would have stayed if this was invested) and straight with their contracts.
