That's why they signed him. Guaranteed goals in that division and leadership to gel a squad en route to promotion.
Can't knock them - knew what the needed and were prepared to pay for it.
Wouldn't have started if Ben Arfa wasn't injured, I guess.
Suspect we'll be hearing lots of 'wouldn't have started.................' this season given we've got terrible squad strength and have made one signing made of glass and another with a bionic knee.
Can't wait to wave goodbye to Tiote, Colo etc in the next couple of years then.
Woohoo.
That's probably true, but the club will still be here.
Last time I checked, the club is what we support.
I support the team.
Not unthinkable with Colo's contractual situation next summer.
Go to bed you
Sorry. Very cynical these days.
Supporting us does tend to do that dont it
Yep - more than ever before.
BTW, how fucking spawny are those fucking scouse bastards.
This time last year they were about to head into war with the yanks. Only they could turn around and find better yank owners, prepared to invest properly in their squad and seemingly believe in a manager.
Really hope they crash and burn.
Jammy cunts.
I would assume so.
Hope he's good as he's got massive boots to fill. Jose is the best full back I've seen in over 20 years of following NUFC.
harsh on beresford.
I watched nearly every game Bez played for us and saw alot when he was at Pompey and can say confidently Jose is a mile better.
i'm not so sure. enrique was stronger defensivly but had much more support (jonas instaed of ginola for large spells), beresfords distribution was much better. wouldn't like to choose one over the other
It's an easy choice for me. Jose every day of the week.
A far better footballer.
