I hope they have a press conference to unveil him, can't wait to hear what he has to say, all the crap he will talk, then realise we don't have to put up with it ever again.

Crystal Palace caretaker boss Keith Millen: "It is tough to come here and Villa pass the ball well. We kept our discipline and shape and had the best chance of the game [through Yannick Bolasie]. We ran out of legs trying to hurt them the other way. I am delighted with the lads' commitment. But we need to take our chances to win games of football. If that goes in, the way we are set up, it would have been hard for them to get back into the game. "Alan [Pardew] came in after the game and congratulated everybody but he did say we need to be better going forward. "I spoke to him before the game. He didn't interfere with tactics. After he introduced himself to the team. Hopefully he can improve the team and make us better. We need to win games to stay in this league. "I had brief discussion with Alan and he says he is happy with the staff here and what we do. I am sure there will be more discussions. He will look at the staff and structure but at the moment he has told us to get on with it and work hard."

Best possible result for our long term hopes?
-
reading the sky sports article about the delay, with regards to woodman, it seems the delay is that he hasn't decided wether he wants to leave his son in our academy or go to palace.
-
On a wednesday?! He must really want them to freten. Pity the players have already left for Villa. They might stand a chance in that game then. :lol He said his son is the palace team bus driver

At the palace training ground according to fan on their message board

Is it the us holding it up over compo?

new telegraph article says Carr want Bruce, and Charnley wants a foreign manager. Also says Carver is in line for the job as well.
-
Take out his time at England his record is pretty decent. The best option of all english managers but obviously not first choice.
-
Daily Mail saying announced tomorrow and in charge against villa as well.
-
Please not Adkins

Craig Hope @CraigHope_DM No truth whatsoever in rumours linking Nigel Worthington with NUFC manager's job
-
Hopefully Sherwood gets the gig, as that would effectively rule both out from coming here (as Pulis wouldn't work with MA). Yeah good point, the only real concern is Bruce for me. pretty sure his compo would be low as he is on a 12 month rolling contract.
-
Can Pulis and Sherwood already be ruled out? They are both talking to WBA and considering we are in no rush it would suggest that both are not under consideration.
-
Is it safe to come back?

Other than zero fans turning up on matchday, there is nowt else we can do. Btw how did Liverpool fans force Hicks and Gillet to sell up? Turn up do not go in, stand outside the team will still hear us out there but NOT going into the ground will get the message across. As long as we dont spend money on the club.

It will be casual checking whilst Pardew is in charge, then once JFK takes over about 7/8 games in that will be it for me.
-
That's the final straw for me like I'm done and not going back till Ashley has gone.
-
Pretty much the lowest amount of excitment ever felt ahead of the summer and new season tbh. The bloke is simply not good enough, and seems to arrogant to change his approach at all. Roll on october when our dreadful start to the season, will sure leave Ashley with little option other than to get rid. The only problem there is that all the great options available now would have all gone, and we will be left with someone like Hughes or Mcclaren.
-
What is happening now/ or has been happening all season, was what we all expected from the start of his reign, it has just taken longer than expected, but it was always coming. Hopefully he can scrape enough points to keep us up, then Ashley does the right thing and gets rid, and brings someone in to really take us forward. Everything is pretty much in place for it other than the manager.

This is almost certainly the game where Man Utd finally start playing well. Can see a heavy defeat coming.
