  5. Not sure which mugs going to pay £5 million for Robinson, but the rest seems plausible. Having said that, you'll then have sold/loaned out 13 players in one go, how many do you expect to come in? Boro On to the second part of your post, think we'll have 5 new players in the first team next season including Modric....... --------------------------------------New goalkeeper------------------------------ Hutton---------------Woodgate------------------New Cb (King)----------Bale -----------------------New dm---------------------Jenas--------------------------- Lennon-----------------------------------------------------------------------Modric -----------------------New striker-------------------Keane----------------------- Not to mention we'll need a back up goalkeeper, Midfield Squad player and 4th choice striker. JJ isnt even guaranteed his place so thats 8-9 new signings including Modric that i think we'll make. Good team except Jenas
  6. My Blackburn supporting mate reckons were in for Sante Cruz we will offer 10 million although HUghes could get City job and try take him there

  8. He is talking to Spurs. Unfortunately, he is also talking to the scum up the road as well. If Flamini goes to Italy I think they will be his destination. If not, then perhaps we are in with a shout. Any idea if he is any good?
  9. Stoke game is on telly on sunday Btw they better win
  10. If the top earner at Ibrox is on £20k and we offer Cuellar the same as what Smith's on (£60k) I have a feeling he may change his mind. IIRC didn't Beye say he wasn't interested in a move until we offered him loads of cash? He's not done so bad, even if his reasoning for coming was debatable... Yep
  11. This could also favour us in the transfer market as we would probably going for similar targets as man city
  12. Jean II Makoun who a few on here like is talking to a london club believed to be spurs over a move
  13. Its just a shame that theres still the same old twaddle put in an article. How does he know Smith supports Rangers? I thought Leeds was Smiths boyhood team? I remember watching a programme following youngsters, and they covered Smith making his debut. Every paper has reported this today like
  14. It makes you wonder how we only got 5/6 million for bellamy when we can get 4 for shola
  15. While he probably doesnt deserved to be sacked i also dont think he is good enough to get them in the top 4 so i can see why he wants him out
  16. Doesnt even get a game for Stoke now
  17. Looks quality on youtube but never seen him live so cant say maybe he is one of the ones KK will be going to see play
  18. NEWCASTLE United are banking on Stoke City being promoted to the Premier League so they can cash in on Shola Ameobi. For, as seems likely, if Stoke join West Brom in one of the automatic promotion places from the Championship on Sunday, then United will be laughing all the way to the bank. Stoke want to keep the details of Ameobis loan deal secret and its easy to see why. For the top brass of Dennis Wise and Tony Jimenez have done United proud in their dealings with the Midlands club. United have already banked a huge fee of £575,000 for allowing Ameobi to go to the Britannia Stadium on loan, with the player himself picking up a weekly wage packet of £20,000. And a deal has already been struck between the two clubs that if Stoke are promoted then Ameobis loan deal will become permanent, with United receiving a cool £4m for the player who cost them nothing after he came through the ranks at St Jamess Park. Several other clubs in the Championship were interested in Ameobi, but none could match Stokes offer to United. Ameobi has had his ups and downs on Tyneside, but it should not be forgotten that he scored nearly 50 goals for the club some of them very crucial. But he is being married in the summer, and the word is that Kevin Keegan was understandably upset when the 26-year-old striker asked to miss a reserve game because he had a wedding rehearsal. Whatever happens, its hard to see Ameobi having any sort of future with United, and it would be a surprise if David Rozehnal, who is on loan at Lazio, was seen in a black-and-white shirt again. However, it remains to be seen whether Alan Smith will swap the black-and-white of United for the blue of Rangers at the end of the season. Rangers boss Walter Smith, who let United target Richard Dunne leave Everton for Manchester City back in 2000, is ready to slap in a £5m bid for Uniteds 27-year-old England international. And this could interest Keegan who, as The Chronicle revealed last month, has twice been up to see Rangers in UEFA Cup games recently, having a look at their Spanish central defender Carlos Cuellar. Alan Smith is a big Rangers fan and he dashed out of Upton Park on Saturday night after coming on as a substitute in Uniteds 2-2 draw, so that he could make his way to Glasgow to see the Old Firm derby with Celtic the following day. But Smith will know better than anyone that his £60,000-a-week wages at St Jamess are nearly three times more than the best paid player at Ibrox.
  19. From Alan Oliver today Meanwhile, United’s interest in Manchester City skipper Richard Dunne could be affected by the rumours about Sven-Goran Eriksson leaving Eastlands in the next couple of weeks. The Chronicle reported yesterday that the 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international was top of Kevin Keegan’s shopping list, and I understand that United may actually have made a bid. And if this is the case, it means that Keegan has got the green light from the United hierarchy, who at first had reservations about Dunne’s age and the fact he will want wages of £60,000 a week. But everything at Manchester City is up in the air at the moment and, while the club have issued a statement saying Eriksson will not be leaving, all the talk is that the former England boss already has his bags packed at his £900-a-night hotel suite in the city. And as much as former United manager Sam Allardyce would love the job at Eastlands, I hear that City’s Thai owner Thaksin Shinawatra wants a much bigger name like Phil Scolari or Slaven Bilic.
  20. Villa will not go for 16million he will go for at least the same amount as Torres
  21. SkySports Newcastle are rumoured to be one of a number of teams chasing St Etienne's Bafetimbi Gomis. The striker was keen to secure a move away from Les Verts last summer, but was eventually persuaded to stay. However, after another impressive season which has brought 14 goals in 31 appearances he is keen to secure a move to a bigger club. At just 22-years-old his potential has attracted interest from a host of teams across Europe, with scouts consistently descending on the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to get a look at the "new Drogba". Ligue 1 giants Marseille and Spanish outfit Sevilla are believed to have had Gomis watched on several occasions, while Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi is a regular visitor to St Etienne. However, despite the interest from elsewhere, it is understood that Newcastle are preparing to make the first move by testing the French club's resistance with an offer of around 18million euros (£14million).
  22. Will also make Sunday interesting last day of the championship should be a few good games on
