No but I was talking on the starting 11, having Burn and Schar starting is stronger than any of Fraser, Almiron or Murphy. Having any of them effects more than just the RW, trams can afford to double up on Maxi because they know there is no danger on the other side

Get your point, I would however say that if we end up still relying on Fraser, Almiron etc, then it would have made much more sense to not spend big on Botman and instead use it for a RW.

Will remember him for his sending off against Norwich and his sending off in a friendly in Saudi Arabia for punching an opponent. Was good in the championship and absolutely hopeless in the premier league

If we do sign him, he definitely won’t be signed to play wide right, if this was the case we would have moved for him already considering it’s a priority position.

Usually when a player hands in a transfer request it’s to force through a transfer, usually at that stage the player has already agreed everything with the buying club. Arsenal seem to be the main club linked, not sure who they plan on him replacing because they are pretty well stocked in his position. Maybe he is their Raphinia backup in which case they will be playing him out of position and he will start the season as back up to Saka. Even if they plan to play him centrally, they have Odergaard who is captain if im not mistaken, and haven’t they just spent big on that Vieira from Porto who also plays the same position?

It doesn’t matter at most clubs, it matters when he’s manager though because it’s a sign of things to come
