I joked about the new parent factor, but players have kids all the time, not quite sure why Bruno’s form seems to be so closely linked to it (when he has suffered a known ankle injury which is much more likely to be the reason).

Hasn’t performed anywhere near a £100m player this season (so far), but hopefully signing this new contract will settle him and help him regain last seasons form.

As committed and doting a parent as Bruno looks, surely he is well away from the screaming child waking up every two hours. Being naturally fast isn’t a necessity for the great midfielders, they buy that extra yard with great anticipation and control, or finding those gaps on the pitch that give them time.

At our best last season the interplay between him and Almiron was superb, it’s non existent at the moment

I’m sure it’s all perception but I swear he gets smaller every game. Must be a confidence thing but he used to look like a giant between the sticks but now looks tiny. His kicking is a real problem and takes away a big outlet for our defenders who you can tell just don’t trust him anymore

Definitely a below par start to the season, but I trust Eddie to turn it around. He obviously likes to play a consistent starting 11, but hopefully that doesn’t blinker him to poor form (Bruno) and injuries (Joe). Managing a bigger squad and rotating players at the right time will be his biggest test.

I assume Joe was around for a mega slice after his performance as well
