Probably a Spurs fan digging his heels in.

From Pardew....
"We can go to Tottenham and let our hair down. We will have a go and if we get beat, we get beat."

Can´t fault anything he did bar the offside positions he set himself up in. The one in the first half when Obertan ran with the ball
Seems like we finally have a great partnership up top for the first time since Shearer and Bellamy.

Got faith in Pardew for the derby. One of his strengths is definitely pre-game planning and I think it'll be very similar to Stoke away, they have one set in stone way of playing and rarely stray from it. If things are going against them O'Neill isn't tactically capable enough to change things like Jol did a couple weeks back.
Subbing on a quick striker when opposing team plays a high line is hardly a ph.d worthy move
-
Wouldn't be averse to Agbonlahor missing out.
Difference between a win and a loss imo.
Would be great if true, but players always seem to get fit for the match against us, so im not confident until i see the team sheet right before the match.

Sent off :/
Quite the coincidence that this thread was bumped today prior to the match
-
Probably just as divided opinions on him there as there was here.

Krul
Simpson Willicini Santon
Obertan Guthrie Raylor Gutierrez Best
Ameobi
Sub: Ben Arfa, Ba, Cisse, Abeid, Perch, Løvenkrands, Elliott
Subs used: Perch & Løvenkrands on at 60-70min, Ba on 85 min.

Agnonlahor will play. They always do.
-
I fear Aston Villa will tear us a new one WBA-style with Agbonlahor up top.
-
They have scored some absolute crackers since O´Neill arrived.
Im trying to convince myself that these goals could have been scored no matter who was in charge of them, and without having seen any of their games since he took over bar the first game against Blackburn (where they scored two fantastic goals) I hope their general play is still like it was against them. Once the wondergoals dry up, they will start to fall down the table.
-
4-4-2 with Ba floating is fine and dandy with me as long as there is room for Ben Arfa on the right.
-
Wonder if we really have put all of our eggs in one basket throughout the whole of January defender-wise.
More than likely, can't remember any other concrete links.
Tomkins
Yeah, apart from him
That guy from Chievo?
-
Simpsons backing off doesn´t seem so bad when looking at this Wolves defense.
-
Did you just hear them say 'turned down Wigans deal' on SSN?
Yep.
Not sure the promise of 1/3 season of PL football was enough to sway him. Wise decision.
-
Agree with Goran here. We´ve got a top class striker in, no outgoings of significant note, tried to get a backup CB/RB but will not pay over the odds. Fair enough. Good window. Just shut it now.
-
One of the best things Sunderland have going for them atm is their energy from what I've seen. Putting Davies and Bridge on the field will eliminate a good part of this. Too bad Bridge deal isn't permanent.
-
Did any of the Dembas play well today?
-
oh, and btw.
"Astute piece of business" by Shepherds standards was to sell Aaron Hughes, a still young and versatile defender, for £1m and sign Craig Moore on a free transfer.
