Wow terrible miss that Jonas
-
Game's gone, we've decided not to make any adjustments, pards must have been happy with the first half
-
Raylor still there /sigh, pardew needs to grow some.
-
Do you think Pardew can actually see how Raylor is being tortured out there ? FFS make the change man, I would like to see Marveaux and BA too for Obertan and Shola, but not likely I guess.
-
Should have been another
-
Great work Staylor, terrible by Rtaylor left colo exposed
-
Tiote one season wonder, or just a bad stretch ?
-
FFS, we could have been 3 or 4 down by now, all through SWP on the right wing....hmmmm.
-
What a surprise Raylor being murdered atm. I would make the change now if I were Pards before we concede, mind you if I were Pards I wouldn't have started the plank in the first place
-
QPR's owner seems like a nice bloke, hope he has a terrible night.
-
Hate Gary Neville, typical Manure tosser, glad to have to put up with Southgate and Townsend here in Canada, not that they are stellar but I would rather listen to them two tosspots that Gary fucking Neville
-
Where's this thread ? Who the fuck reads stickies FFS Raylor at LB, complete lack of balls by Pardew, you play your best players not ones you feel deserve another runout because they've not be totally useless. And if stanton hasn't shown enough in training to show he's the best LB at the club then wth did they sign him for.

Where's this thread ?

Any Canadians know which channel the game is on today, can't find it listed anywhere Not sure who has the monday night games this season, think it was TSN last year. Someone must have it because it's not even listed for tape delay on Setanta either.

Don't blame them tbh, that was a clear pen at the end, upson going to down like Schmichael's old starfish, don't give that crap that that's unintential, it's handball and a pen. I only saw the last 30 mins or so, but watching that and looking at the rest of the stats, Stoke have got to be one of the luckiest teams in the league, Liverpool battered them from what I saw. Last game Stoke had one shot on goal and won the game, really riding their luck.

I agree. Last season we wouldnt of got that result. Same at Sunderland too. We seem more solid so far this season. The creativity will come. Personally both games worried me a little despite the victories, we started extremely slowly in both and had the opposition had any quality about themselves we could have been fighting an uphill battle I'm not convinced we have the ability to get out of. I'm still not at all confident about the team, despite the start. However one thing I have taken from the first few games, is that there's going to be a lot of crap in the league this year and the thought of being one of the best of the crappy team is what we could translate into confidence.
-
I know, what is it about that lad ? Everytime I've seen him, he's looked bloody brilliant, if he could take the same mental attitude into games against other opposition the lad would be an international.
-
I won't drink my own piss on this, but I'm pretty confident Pardew will keep faith with Taylor unfortunately, Santon will start on the bench.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't to be honest. Everyone was crying out for a statement, they make one, shouldn't have made a statement. or Everyone was crying for a statement, they don't make one, they get reamed for not making one. Either way they lose. Not really, they could attempt to put out a statement that doesn't try being condescending, insulting our intelligence and admit they've actually failed the supporters once again. Is it really too much to ask for the owners of this football club to show a little accountability to the people who define it's very existence ?
-
LOL, we had 8 months to get a striker ffs But we're mental I guess.
-
I think it's actually pretty significant. That Newcastle united sign is very very prominent, I'm amazed he's resisted this long. Along with of course the Gallowgate end sign and the "official" name of the ground and every interview conducted at SJP has SD logo in the shot. He's getting a lot for free. DHL sponsor manure training kit for 42million ffs, not saying we are as good an advertising vehicle as they are but you would be amazed at the global exposure the PL offers, I don't believe clubs maximise it to it's fullest extent tbh.

it's based on the fact that Ashley and Lambias are using our football club as an advert for Sports Direct and aren't interested in the slightest in improving us a football team, not now, not ever. and for that i want them hounded out of town at the nearest opportunity, the only way i can see anything like that happening is if journalists start to highlight what they're up to so the common fan comes round to the idea. it doesnt mean i dont want us to win next weekend. Seems to be a fairly expensive way to advertise Sports Direct, £240m + for some signs on a stadium where a reasonable chunk of the people in that stadium would like to burn Sports Direct to the ground... Case in point though - the club are changing the 'NEWCASTLE UNITED' signage to add SD.com logos to either side of it. That signage is the prominent things shown on Sky matches, MOTD, etc as the teams walk out and line up. Its not the peopel in the ground he's advertising to - its the national/global premier league audience. And it seems SD don't even pay a penny for the priveledge! And of course we get the bleating heart from his people that Mike puts a lot of his personal money in to keep the club afloat, when in reality SD should be paying for free advertising like this.

Seriously Ian, you have to take your "Ashley is a genius" tinted glasses off for a bit. You need a strong local press who ask the right sort of questions, who understand the fans frustration, they are our only conduit to the club, we the fans are the customer base and have a right to know what product we are putting our hard earned money towards. Blind support which you seem to be advocating here, will get us nowhere, all it does is reinforces acceptance of the way the board are running the club, if we don't complain we obviously like the situation we are in. No one wants to see Pardew hung drawn and quartered, everyone to a man can see he's just a figure head with no real power, but he's the only person who will talk there, so the questions should and need to fly in his direction, if he feels he should deflect the tough ones to the Owner and his lacky then he should.

He put his reputation on the line with recent comments about being certain he'll have a striker before the window closes, it'll be very interesting to hear what he has to say, no one is denying he has no control of things but if you don't have control you shouldn't be stupid enough to put out statements like that, especially when those that do have power are who they are. We already know one of the main reasons he came in was to tell us everything the board wanted us to hear. He is a puppet, he is so please to just be in a job he will say whatever he is told. What point are you trying to make ? We know he's not in control, no one is saying that we believe he is, what I'm saying is I still would be interested in hearing what he has to say, it's odd for a manager not to comment on post transfer window business.
