Pardew, is the leading English manager in the prem at the moment, and even if/when the buble bursts, it's only Odious saggy chops dodgy geezer loathsome Redknapp with the dodgy ticker that is likely to overtake him. There's a distinct lack of quality English mangers right now, so the FA stance on the next appointment being English is stupid in the extreme. I can see Pards being tempted to fill the void at spuds if the FA do appoint the twat, but no need to worry just yet a lot of things can happen between now and the end of Euro 2012.

Got to admit I was pretty pessimistic at the start of the season, although I did think that there was too much crap at the bottom for us to go down, never in my wildest dreams did I believe we would be 15 points from safety by the start of Nov.
-
Thought we were poor today but without Tiote and losing cabaye after 30mins they did really well to hang on and really restrict Everton to next to no chances in that second half. I thought the sub of hba for best was crucial he came on and retained possession when we needed it. We need to be starting hba now.

We are still getting a lot of doubters, people saying that the oppoistion had off days and we've been lucky. That's basically what Pulis implied in his post match comments, and we've heard them before this year. For 10 games and 22 points, is it all down to luck or the opposition not playing as well as they can ? It is hugely disrespectful to us. The formula for our success so far has been down to two things, Pardew and the coaches knowing the opposition and working out a plan to stop them playing and the players working hard, knowing their roles and executing the plan. We've had luck on the way of course, but we've generated a lot of that luck. The second goal yesterday was desribed as lucky by the commentators, but in reality Best should have scored himself his shot was was scuffed and fell in Ba path, but we had 3 players bearing down on the goal in that move, we put ourselves in the postion to profit from any mishit or richochet. The stoping of the opposition playing thing is always over looked, and it's getting tiresome listening to the commentators and opposition manager's bemoan their luck and question our right to be where we are.

Just finished watching the game, I had to watch it delayed due to silly work and other stuff. Really good result but a little pissed off with the so called experts and their constant attempts to put us down, you can really tell they are just waiting for something to get their teeth into and it's grating on them to give us even the smallest bit of credit. Paul Walsh's reaction to our penalty and theirs was fucking ridiculous, they were both soft pushes/shoves neither really was a pen but when you give one you have to give the other, but he made it out to be theirs was a stonewall one and ours was a terrible decision. And of course that changed the whole game, Stoke didn't force a decent chance outside the pen. For us foreigners we have to put up with Curbs and Townsend, in the studio, they were ok but just followed the walsh line on the pens. I thought that Pulis was a little ungracious too in his interview, it's always bad defending isn't it "credit to Newcastle they got the 3 points" is just another way of saying we didn't deserve the win.

It's obvious why he doesn't get ahead of Delap but for Whelan there's no excuse. Pulis is a hugely conservative manager, only buys players that have proven themselves in this country, and he must feel that those two understand what he requires of them and how they fit into the team more than Palacios yet. With the ridiculously narrow pitch the long throws of Delap are way more effective, think that partly accounts for their abysmal away form. So he's one of the first names on the team sheet. -

If there is one game we need Tiote for it's this one. Pennant running at Raylor is frightening and Obertan's still bloody getting the start ?? We won't win this I'm afraid, a draw would be a huge achievement but we are probably looking at a bit of a beating. -
How is obertan still on the pitch yet again.

We could play all night and not get a goal here. Very disappointing against a team we should be dismantling with ease.
-
Not as bad as the second half against wolves but that's as bad we've played in a half of football at home this season. Need a major improvement to get the win we really should be expecting from this.
-
Struggling against a poor team, this really isn't good enough
-
We really need to step up the performance in the second half this is very poor right now
-
Terrible start they look lethargic

Its "maths" man not "math" you american cleb end LOL, that annoys the hell out of me with my daughter, I keep having to correct her with it's Maths, it's Schedule not Skedule and it's Tom ar toe not Tom may toe

You played better overall but we created the better openings so a draw is fair. Fair I disagree, really outside the two goals and that scramble late on they created nothing. We didn't create that much ourselves but we dominated in terms of territory and possession, spuds should be happier with the point than we should, but because we were the ones coming from behind it looks the other way.
-
I disagree strongly with that, it was an exciting strong finish that's all
-
We did enough to win that one
-
Never doubted him Shola
-
It was a decent FK but he's not going to beat Friedel at the near post
-
Fuck off RAylor this is HBA's side
-
Obertan off for Marv is the obvious one but Pardew will probably wait until the 89th minute for it
-
Since Tiote got that knock the midfield has lost the battle in there.
-
Why Shola for BA ??????
-
FFS pardew change it
