  1. I don't even know who Anzhi are
  2. Who's that, you short arsed git ?
  3. If the mackems get Sturridge, and we end up with nothing or worse strill Macheda (sp?), I cry like a big girl and vow never to watch another game of football (but I'll break that vow once I get over myself)
  4. BBC sports news correspondent Dan Roan on Twitter: "Am told Alan Hutton may have chosen Fulham rather than Villa and unsettled NCFC defender Danny Simpson in talks to go to Villa as result." From the beeb site, who the hell are NCFC, and do they have a danny simpson too ?
  5. since most ppl seem to think we'll never sign a striker, i guess sometime within the next 2 or 3 transfer windows would be a lot closer

    Sunderland...

From beeb transfer deadline thingy : 1502: Sunderland fans, check this out, BBC Sport's Leon Mann reports striker Asamoah Gyan has handed in a transfer request at the Stadium of Light. Woah. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/9575900.stm
  7. Just got a feeling we will test Chelsea with a big bid for Sturridge, prolly 15 million, got a feeling they'll accept it too and he'll turn us down
  8. If Ireland didn't get another injury he probably would have done alright tbh. I don't mind loans but it depends on the loan. Marcheda? No, A defender, yes please. But he was injured when we loaned him, that was part of my argument, that and his undoubted questionable character
  9. Hate loan deals, unless they ate try before buy types. Really don't see the point in helping develop someone else's prospects. Funny last year everyone was having a go at me for not wanting the Ireland loan to go through, but what a collosal success that was.
  10. Dam through 17 mins of the game on tape delay, fulham all over us 71% possesion, shocking really, I presumes it gets better.
  11. Damn I really do not want us to have to play both manchester clubs twice this season, can we just not turn up and get given a 3-0 loss ??
  12. LOL another sending off, their indiscipline is shocking really
  13. That point we got at home to Arse not looking that good now, lol
  14. Wow Dzeko been awesome, Man Shitty have so many weapons, Nasri just adds to them. Third game in a row they've scored 3 or more, so many goals in the team, looks like eventually Mancini is allowing them to show that. Two arse kicking too for spuds, to start the season, which is doubly pleasing. Mind you they have played the best two teams in this league. But they've definitely got problems, especially defensively.
  15. Apparently if we can do it, it'll be the first time in 109 years that we would have started the season with 3 clean sheets, some random stat that was mentioned during the half time of Man Shitty's game

    Erik Pieters

Jamie Carragher is a woeful woeful player
  17. Bolton look awful, hope they struggle this year
  18. Good luck to him, I guess. Can't really blame him for leaving, with the owner and MD we have. If he's getting a big fat pay day, then I don't think any of us would do differently if we were in his situation. At least he left on a high, last game the derby win at the mackems. You could say that he only really had one good season for us and personally I'm not convinced this move will be a huge success for him professionally, we'll miss him for sure, we'll not replace him, Obertan was the replacement (not as common sense would suggest the replacement for Rout). If this gives Sammy and Haris more opportunities then it could in the long run be a good move for us, but if the like of Lovenkrands, Raylor (despite his recent free kick goal fest) and smith are drafted in to replace him then we've taken a big step backwards.
  19. 2 games. Christ. Other players have got less time than that at SJP, I'm not saying it's fair, that's just the way it is, football fans can be an impatient bunch.
  20. I have to say, I decided to watch all his goals from his west ham games, because to be brutally honest I hadn't paid a lot of attention to him before we signed. Anyway when I watched them straight after we had signed him, I came away thinking that there were few if any of the goals where I was convinced that this is a player that will be a success in the PL rather than someone going through a phase of riding their luck. I'm not saying every goal he scored for West Ham was a lucky one, just a nervy feeling that had things gone slightly differently he could have looked as much of a natural finisher as his strike partner there. His first sightings in a toon top are not encouraging to say the least but it's still way to early to write him off just yet, hopeful;ly he can turn it around and recapture some of his form that his past record at other clubs would suggest he's a better player than we've seen so far. He's running out of time though and patience from the crowd, it won't be long before they'll start getting on his back if he continues to play the way he has been.
  21. He was downright rotten tonight have to say. I'm not one to jump on the Danny Simpson is a pile of crap bandwagon, but he's got to perform better than that for me not to be tempted to hitch a ride.

    Sammy Ameobi

I just finished watching the game, stupid extra time screwed up my PVRing of the game. Anyway didn't know the result when I evetually got to watch the extra time, thought the moment he picked up the ball that there was only thing that would happen and that was a goal, never doubted it in my mind, don't know why. But him and Vuckic tonight showed they are both ready for more game time.
